Mike Savage w/Anarkist
versus
"The King" Sam King
versus
"The Ruthless Rookie" Kidd Kidman
UWC World Heavyweight Title No.1 Contender
Match
Referee: Charles Galliant
JP: What a match we're going to have now
folks, we're lucky to be at ringside to see this contest...who do you
think has a chance Sully?
Sully: Good question, I reckon, Sam King..he
has the all round best game and he's been here before, he's been on
the big stage before and he is just a superstar.
JP: I don't know, King's ego could get in
the way here...he will be very wary of Anarkist at ringside and that
could allow someone like Kidd Kidman to come through.
Sully: Why does Anarkist have to be at
ringside?
JP: Because it was made a stipulation by
General Manager Fozzy, Mike Savage is being put through his paces by
the "WMD" and so therefore the MWF World Champion wanted to see
exactly what Mike Savage can bring to the "WMD".
Sully: He wants a closer look...well I hope
he just has a look at Mike Savage and no one else, I am sick and
tired of the "WMD" always getting their own way, someone needs to
unite and stand up to them.
JP: But who? King and Wildfire have too many
differences to work effectively, the "Connection" is disconnected by
Wildfire and would only be two members....
Sully: They should bring The Desired Toe
back, he was a great wrestler, what a guy!
JP: The Desired Toe, when I see him being
brought back by the "Canadian Connection" then I'll know for sure
that Rick Jones and Hart Evans have lost it.
Sully: Shame they aren't in this
match....
JP: They can't be, the stipulation sent
through by the UWC was that all men competing in this match must have
never competed in a UWC event before, thus counting out the
"Connection".
Sully: So we're stuck with dregs of talent
like Kidman and Mike Savage, the joy!
[The crowd are growing in excitement, especially after the
incredible tag team contest just before. "WMD" chants are going
around the arena as Peter Santos takes the mike.]
Peter Santos: This match is scheduled for one fall and is a
triple threat match for the UWC World Heavyweight No.1 Contender
spot, the winner of this will eventually go to Cyberslam!
[The crowd pop at this announcement and big "WMD" chants start
again, but also a noticable amount of 'Kidd!' chants.]
JP: Looks as though not everyone will be
rooting for the "WMD" tonight, Kidd Kidman has his own army of fans
ready to back him all the way to Cyberslam.
Sully: Such a shame he has his head up his
arse otherwise I might like him.
Peter Santos: Introducing first, a member of the "WMD",
weighing in at 230 lbs., accompanied to the ring by the MWF World
Champion, Anarkist, it's Mike Savage!
[The first strains of "Bring Me To Life" by Evanesence fill the
arena as the crowd get to their feet and roar as Mike Savage walks
out with non other than MWF World Champion, Anarkist, behind him.
Mike Savage looks confident as he strides down to the ring, high
fiving fans.]
JP: Confidence could be vital in this match,
it may take something really special to get somewhere in this match
and I wouldn't be suprised if we see Sam King taking a few risks
tonight.
Sully: He is that sort of wrestler JP, you
remember King when he jumped off that ladder against Wildfire.
JP: I couldn't believe what he did, I think
I almost fainted.
Sully: I closed my eyes and prayed he'd be
alright, there's nothing worse than the thought of the MWF losing one
of its most talented wrestlers.
[Mike Savage climbs into the ring and raises his arm to the
roaring crowd, Anarkist grabs a steel chair and sets it up outside
the ring and sits down on it...clearly nursing some bruises from his
previous match.]
Peter Santos: And the second man, from Victoria, Texas,
weighing in at 240 lbs., "The King" Sam King!
["Not Enough" by Our Lady Peace rattles from the PA system and the
familiar yellow and gold lights flash as Sam King in combat trousers
makes his way through the lights and runs down to the ring.]
JP: Sam King looking focused to try and get
his career back on track tonight...he needs a good win to set him up
for facing The Jeopardizer at Vacation.
Sully: That is going to be one hell of a
match, The Jeopardizer and Sam King going one on one, it could well
be the end of one man's career.
JP: Hopefully Sam King...
Sully: Never!
[Mike Savage eyes King as Sam King glances at Anarkist before
sliding under the bottom rope and making his way to the turnbuckle,
he pulls on the ropes and hauls himself up to the second rope,
raising his arms in their to the jeering crowd.]
Peter Santos: And the final opponent, from Manchester, England,
weighing in at 210 lbs., "The Ruthless Rookie" Kidd Kidman!
[There is a huge cheer around the arena as "In The End" by Linkin
Park starts up with its piano intro and as the guitars burst in then
Kidd Kidman walks back out onto the entrance way, smiling as he waves
to the crowd..blue lights catching his blue jeans.]
JP: This man has built such a following and
I'm not suprised, he is still unbeaten in singles competition.
Sully: That could all change right here JP,
I think Sam King can finally knock that smile from Kidd's face....and
all these fans will once again be forced to admit that Sam King is
the greatest wrestler the MWF has ever had.
JP: I think The Jeopardizer is just slightly
ahead of Sam King in the greatness stakes, he has won a lot more
matches and is the more technical wrestler.
Sully: You saying Sam King isn't technical?
This man is under the wrestling dictionary, you say suplex and you
say Sam King with it!
[Kidd Kidman is in the ring, bopping around and he walks up to
Mike Savage and looks him right in the eyes and then smiles and his
expression changes as he sees Sam King in the corner. Referee,
Charles Galliant checks Kidd Kidman before calling for the bell and
the crowd roar as the bell sounds and Kidd Kidman starts the action.
Sam King waits in the corner as Kidman comes running, King moves
swiftly and slams the head of Kidman into the turnbuckle..."The
Ruthless Rookie" is thrown clean from the ring by Sam King as he
lifts Kidman and tosses him to the outside.]
JP: Mike Savage will want revenge for Kidd
Kidman beating him in singles compeition a while back...Savage
doesn't take losing very well.
Sully: That's because he loses too
often!
[Mike Savage comes thundering across the ring at King and Anarkist
cheers him on as he decks "The King" with a clothesline, King
clutches his neck as he stumbles to the mat. Mike Savage hoists King
onto his six feet two frame and has him in a behind grapple, he hits
a huge german suplex with a bridge, Charles Galliant counts...1...!
Kidd Kidman is right back in the ring and he breaks the count. Kidman
lands a boot to the face of Mike Savage, then helps Savage to his
feet...Sam King is still down. Kidd Kidman extends his hand to Mike
Savage.]
JP: This is clever work here...
Sully: No! This just isn't right, we can't
have this turning into a handicap match against Sam King!
[Mike Savage takes the hand of Kidd Kidman and shakes it, the
crowd going wild as both men turn and look down on the grounded Sam
King. Mike Savage has King by his long hair, he pulls King to his
feet...Savage irish whips King towards "The Ruthless Rookie" and the
crowd roar as Kidman catches King and sends him for a sidewalk slam.
Anarkist applauds at ringside and shouts 'good work' to Mike Savage,
Savage raises his arm to the crowd and they respond with a big
cheer.]
JP: Savage seems to be doing the right
things so far, but for how long can he keep it up, he needs tomprove
that he can really run with the best and this is the sort of match he
has to start winning if he wants to stand a chance of being in the
"WMD".
Sully: My advice to him would be to lose
this match, then hopefully Anarkist will kick him out and Mike Savage
will save himself of being in the worst stable to ever hit the
MWF.
JP: How can you say that about a stable
which includes the MWF World and Xtreme Champions?
Sully: Because they're not the best, the
individual is always better than the plural.
[To prove Sully's point then Sam King who is being pulled to his
feet by Kidd Kidman suddenly breaks the grasp of Kidman and kicks him
in the mid-section, King irish whips Kidman into the corner. "The
Dramatist" sees Mike Savage is talking to Anarkist, his back to "The
King"....Sam King runs forward and grabs the head of Mike Savage and
bulldogs him into the mat. Anarkist reacts angrily at ringside,
hurling abuse at both Sam King and also Mike Savage.]
JP: That wasn't Savage's fault, he didn't
know that Sam King was behind him.
Sully: Well obviously Anarkist believes Mike
Savage needs eyes in the back of his head to join the "WMD"...I mean
why don't they just let him in anyway?
JP: Because the "WMD" is a specially
selected force, if they let everyone in then they'd have the whole of
the MWF waiting in line.
Sully: Except Sam King!
[The crowd are jeering as Sam King goes after Kidd Kidman in the
corner, "The Ruthless Rookie" finds himself rammed into the frame of
the turnbuckle by the onrushing Sam King's two hundred and forty
pound body, Kidd Kidman is helpless as Sam King knife-edge chops,
prompting the 'whoo' outburst from the crowd, King pummels Kidd
Kidman in the mid section and "The Ruthless Rookie" attempts to
battle out but instead just sinks further into the turnbuckle. Sam
King grabs Kidd Kidman's leg and dragon screws him away from the
turnbuckle....Kidman's back thumping against the mat. "The King"
shouts abuse at the crowd before heading for the top rope, Mike
Savage is slowly getting to his feet but Sam King hasn't spotted
him.]
JP: Mike Savage could get Sam King in a very
dangerous position here, if he realises the opportunity.
Sully: I hope he doesn't, I wanted to see
Sam King fly.
[Mike Savage is on his feet, Anarkist is shouting at Savage to
knock King off the turnbuckle but Savage doesn't realise where Sam
King's gone. He looks around and as he turns then King launches
himself off the turnbuckle and hits a huge cross-body on Savage,
crushing him to the canvas...King has Savage covered and Anarkist
holds his head in his hands as Charles Galliant counts...1....2! Mike
Savage kicks out of the cover. Anarkist takes a huge sigh of relief
as Mike Savage gets to his feet.]
JP: That was pretty close there for Mike
Savage, I thought for a horrible moment he'd lost his chance of
winning this match and of proving himself to the "WMD"...and of going
to Cyberslam.
Sully: So much at stake in this match,
that's why Sam King is going to come out on top because he performs
well under the pressure.
JP: No he doesn't, he usually cracks and
goes to pieces...just like at MAYhem against that man
Anarkist.
Sully: He only cracked because your
favourite The Jeopardizer decided to shove a steel chair into the
head of King!
[Mike Savage gets up and King looks for a kick to the head but
Savage manages to dodge and he leaps forward and grabs Sam
King..."The Dramatist" screams as Mike Savage squeezes his arms
around "The King" in a bearhug...the crowd roar as King is slowly
behind pushes towards the turnbuckle as Mike Savage keeps his arms
tightly locked around "The King". Charles Galliant watches as the red
faced King with his mouth twisted in pain attempts to struggle
free....suddenly Mike Savage drops Sam King as Kidd Kidman runs from
behind and smashes Savage around the back of the head. The crowd roar
as Kidd Kidman puts the boot to the dropped Savage.]
JP: Kidd Kidman wasn't going to let Mike
Savage win that easily, he's not done yet either...looks as though
their alliance has been cancelled.
Sully: I don't think it was ever that strong
in the first place, besides both of them got their ass' kicked by Sam
King!
[Mike Savage is helpless as Anarkist watches on in disbelief as
Kidd Kidman suplexes Mike Savage and hooks the leg straight after the
suplex...1....2! Mike Savage just manages to get the kickout before
Charles Galliant can count the three. Mike Savage is allowed to
slowly stand by Kidd Kidman, Savage staggers for a second before "The
Ruthless Rookie" grabs him and the crowd explode as Kidman executes
the Twist of Fate, the head of Savage spins hard onto the mat and
Kidd Kidman covers again...1....2..! Kidman is forced off Mike Savage
and Sam King drags Kidd Kidman away from Mike Savage and slams
Kidman's face into the mat and then brings a few right hands onto the
back of Kidman's head.]
JP: King's finding a mean streak here, I
thought Kidd Kidman was meant to be the ruthless one.
Sully: I don't think that King was too happy
about Kidd Kidman almost winning the match!
[Anarkist is still sitting on his chair on the outside, he glances
round and jumps with a start as he sees a masked man is standing next
to him, the masked man snatches the chair from underneath Anarkist
leaving the MWF World Champion dumped on the floor.]
JP: Who the hell is that?
Sully: No bloody idea!
[Anarkist seems to blink and is not sure what to do as the masked
man slides into the ring, Sam King irish whips Kidd Kidman and poor
referee Charles Galliant gets in the way and is flattened by "The
Ruthless Rookie". Sam King laughs as both Kidd Kidman and Charles
Galliant are down, he turns round and BAM! A steel chair is smashed
onto his head by the masked man, the crowd are going crazy for the
masked attacker as he brings the chair down on the head of Sam King
again...and again....and again....all the while the masked man is
screaming with delight.]
JP: Holy! This guy really does not like Sam
King that's for sure...maybe it's The Jeopardizer?
Sully: Could well be, but think about it The
Jeopardizer wouldn't pull a chair from underneath Anarkist, his tag
partner.
JP: Hmmm, then I don't have a damn clue who
that could be!
[The masked man helps Mike Savage to his feet and shouts at him to
cover Sam King...Mike Savage drops the canvas before the masked man
gets Charles Galliant and helps him up...Charles Galliant looks
around but the masked man has slipped out of the ring and crouches
behind the ring apron. Charles Galliant sees Mike Savage covering Sam
King and he counts...1....2...! Kidd Kidman somehow has got up and he
drops an elbow on the back of Mike Savage forcing Savage to abort the
cover. Anarkist calls for Savage to hit his finisher on Kidman.]
Sully: Kidd Kidman knew he has to make that
interception...
JP: I thought this one was all over and that
the "WMD" was going to be victorious again...but looks as though "The
Ruthless Rookie" has other ideas.
Sully: I can't believe Sam King has been
screwed over by a chairshot again...it's becoming a pattern!
JP: It can't be The Jeopardizer all over
again.
[Mike Savage and Kidd Kidman get to their feet, Kidman and Savage
exchange blows...Mike Savage looks for a DDT but Kidman flips up and
over the arm of Mike Savage so that he lands behind him, the crowd
cheer as Kidman locks in a waistlock and looks for a german
suplex...Mike Savage refuses to go, he swings an elbow round but
Kidman ducks and Savage is german suplexed, his body flying over the
head of Kidd Kidman and crashing onto the canvas. Kidman walks to the
turnbuckle, he raises the crowd's noise level as he begins to climb
and he signals for his finisher as he gets to the top.]
Sully: Oh no...Kidd Kidman's going to win
again JP, will anyone ever stop this man?
JP: I hope not, he's an incredible talent
and we're about to see yet another Shooting Star Press wrapping up
the win for "The Ruthless Rookie".
[Charles Galliant is watching on as the masked man from the ramp
watches, Anarkist looks up at Kidd Kidman as he prepares himself,
Mike Savage is laid out quite a way from the turnbuckle...Sam King
stires but Kidman doesn't notice, he taunts to the fans and prepares
to jump...but "The King" with fire in his eyes crawls to his feet and
runs full pelt at "The Ruthless Rookie" perched on the turnbuckle.
The crowd gasp as King runs and leaps, his feet catch the ropes and
his arms shoot up, he grabs Kidman and lifts him and throws him back
over his head for a quick superplex...both men crash to the mat and
stay down.]
Sully: My God! Sam King may have badly hurt
himself just to save this match from being yet another Kidd Kidman
victory.
JP: That was a last gasp attempt from Sam
King and it might just have paid off...look Mike Savage is getting
up!
[The newest "WMD" member Mike Savage is using the ropes to get to
his feet, Anarkist offers some encouragement as Savage gets to his
feet and turns to see both Sam King and Kidd Kidman laid out on the
mat...he walks over and hooks the leg of Kidd Kidman, Charles
Galliant counts...1...2..! Kidd Kidman kicks out to the relief and
cheers of the crowd.]
Sully: How the hell did he kick out...this
is just plain stupid, Kidd Kidman should have stayed down.
[Anarkist and the masked man have their heads in their hands as
Kidd Kidman kicks out and Mike Savage is in disbelief as Charles
Galliant shows him the two, Mike Savage covers again, hooking the
leg...1....2! Kidd Kidman again kicks out. Mike Savage slams the
canvas with frustration as Kidd Kidman rolls away and begins to get
to his feet. Sam King is also crawling to his feet using the
ropes...Mike Savage goes after Sam King, he brings a knee into the
half raised face of "The King" and then pummels him with a closed
fist...Charles Galliant orders Savage to mind the closed fist, Savage
shouts at Charles Galliant and Anarkist shakes his head.]
JP: There is no use in Mike Savage taking
out his anger on Charles Galliant...that won't help anybody.
Sully: Damn right, Mike Savage needs to
learn some valuable lessons.
JP: The "WMD" has high standards and Mike
Savage has to do his best to meet them.
[Sam King is taken towards the turnbuckle by Mike Savage...Kidd
Kidman gets to his feet and staggers over to where Savage and King
are, "The King" grabs Mike Savage and throws him into the turnbuckle
and then turns and grabs Kidd Kidman..."The Ruthless Rookie" has a
look of shock on his face as Sam King looks for the Spinning DDT, the
crowd jeering as King looks for the move...but Kidman reverses and
the crowd explode as he executes the Twist of Fate! King's head
bounces off the mat and Kidman leaps to his feet, he grabs Mike
Savage and sends him tumbling from the ring before covering Sam
King...1...2...3!]
Peter Santos: And your winner, through pinfall, Kidd
Kidman!
[The crowd explode as "In The End" by Linkin Park hits the PA
system and Kidd Kidman has his arm raised in victory by Charles
Galliant...Mike Savage is helped up on the outside by Anarkist who
looks distastefully at the "WMD" member. Mike Savage leans heavily on
the shoulder of Anarkist and his face is a lighter shade of green as
he sees the MWF World Champion's face is a look of anger. Kidd Kidman
trash talks the fallen Sam King before taunting the crowd.]
