Wildfire versus Sam King, MWF TV Title Cage
Match
Peter Santos: The following contest is a Cage Match for the MWF
Television Title! One opponent must climb over the cage and touch the
floor to be announced the winner Introducing first
["Not Enough" by Our Lady Peace swarms across the arena, pulling
every fan up from their chair. Sam King steps onto the stage and
stares out at the roaring crowd.]
Peter Santos: Weighing in at 240 pounds, from Victoria, Texas
one half of the MWF Tag Team Champions "The Dramatist" Sam
King!
[On cue, King storms to the ring and jumps through the ropes. He
paces round the ring as the crowd cheer his name. Suddenly, a
haunting screech comes from above, as the cage is slowly lowered from
the darkness.]
Sully: But wait, Wildfire's not here yet,
and this cage doesn't have a damn door!
[King keeps his eyes on the ground, as he awaits his opponent and
the cage. His fists are tightly bound and his boots strapped tighter
than a vice. The crowds cheers evolve into screams of attention as
they try to alert Sam King towards the cage.]
JP: What's up with the crowd, Sully?
Sully: Beats me, JP hang on a second
look!
[As Sully points towards the cage we see Wildfire stood on its
edge. The cage reaches the ring and a small group of technical
experts attach it to the ringposts. As King rotates to take in the
atmosphere and assess his position, Wildfire jumps from the top of
the cage, hitting a huge double axe handle! King is sent to the mat
and across the ring. The crowd give out a short jeer but at the same
time seem quite impressed at Wildfire. The bell sounds as Wildfire
throws the TV Title from his waist and picks King up from the corner.
He sends him across the ring. "The Dramatist" hits the turnbuckle and
turns back to Wildfire who hits him with a furious clothesline.]
Sully: I must say, Wildfire was very clever
about this!
JP: Clever and stupid! He could've broken
his legs with that jump.
[Wildfire bounces against the ropes a couple of times, running
across the ring, assuming the cocky role of the classic battle. King
crawls to the centre of the ring and trips Wildfire as he runs
across. Wildfire's face comes down hard on the mat. King quickly
lifts his opponent and knocks him straight back down with a stiff
elbow to the cheekbone, followed by a quick leg drop and then a
standing moansault!]
JP: Sam King has made a 180 degree turn in
no time. A quality performer to say the least.
[The crowd cheer as King whips Wildfire into the ropes and hits a
dropkick as he springs back. With Wildfire down, King moves to the
cage wall and begins to climb. Using the ropes, he ascends the steel.
Halfway there, Wildfire jumps up, runs and cannonballs the cage wall,
shaking it incredibly.]
Sully: Eek!
[Holding on with only one hand, King wobbles slightly, before
falling backwards and landing hard on his back. Wildfire climbs the
turnbuckle and turns to King's body. The crowd grow silent as he
leaps into the air and comes crashing down with a frog splash! Gasps
from the crowd juxtapose King's lack of breath as he gasps to pull in
as much air as he can.]
Sully: Now Wildfire has a chance to
climb!
JP: Don't count Sam King out yet,
Sully.
[Wildfire climbs from his chest and uses the turnbuckle once again
to gain height. He latches his hands onto the top of the cage with a
giant leap, and then pulls one foot up. Meanwhile, King is up and
staggering across the ring. He climbs the turnbuckle under Wildfire
and takes hold of the hanging foot of his opponent. Wildfire attempts
to fight off King's grasp, but its too tight. Wildfire gives King a
stiff kick in the head. King falls from the turnbuckle, taking
Wildfire with him. King hits the mat and Wildfire falls between the
ropes and the cage. He tries to fight his way free, however he
becomes tangled in the ropes. King shakes away his dazed state and
stands up. He sees the situation that Wildfire has trapped himself
in. King bounces to the opposite side of the ring and speeds towards
Wildfire, hitting a huge vertical body splash!]
JP: Great move by King! That could be the
turning point in this match!
[The cage shudders as Wildfire slides to the floor and rolls to
the centre of the ring holding his chest. King lifts Wildfire, kicks
him in the abdomen, and hits the Spinning DDT! Wildfire crashes to
the floor. Each man is sprawled across the mat breathless. After a
minute of so, each wrestler begins to stir, they crawl in separate
directions towards the cage. Now at opposite sides of the ring they
begin to ascends the steel walls.]
Sully: This is gonna be dead close,
JP!
JP: You bet! Both men are halfway up the
cage!
[King manages to pull one foot up on top of the cage, whilst
Wildfire pulls himself up by his arms.]
JP: Oh God!
[King has lost his footing, his arms flail back and forth
frantically as he attempts to try and keep his balance.]
Sully: Wildfire is almost there!
[Wildfire hauls himself up onto the top of the cage, King is
beside him, his arms trying to catch a part of the cage, he goes
backwards, his one foot caught in the cage and he is hanging upside
down on the inside of the cage, the crowd screaming in horror.]
JP: Someone help that man!
[A horrible smile is on the face of Wildfire, he crawls across to
where King's foot is caught in the cage, the crowd are roaring at
Wildfire as he unhooks King's leg, King looks up, a look of fear in
his eyes....Wildfire lets go of King's foot and the former MWF Xtreme
Champion goes hurtling down towards the ring. There is a huge thud as
he hits the canvas, and collapses, Wildfire crawls over the other
side and climbs down the outside of the cage.]
Peter Santos: And your winner, and still the MWF TV Champion,
Wildfire!
Sully: What a match!
JP: I hope "The King" is alright, he looks
in a bad way.
[The camera fades out as medics rush towards the ring, the cage
door is forced open and the medics flood into the ring, Wildfire with
the MWF TV Title in his arms walks up the ramp smiling.]
