JP: This is going to be a crazy match, it's called Pure
Hell for a very good reason.
Sully: These two men will compete inside a massive steel structure and the
first man to knock his opponent down for a ten count will be the winner.
JP: It's all part of Thunder Bull and Doomsday's three part series and there
is a lot on the line tonight.
Sully: If Thunder Bull can defeat Doomsday then the MWF World Heavyweight
Championship will be on the line the next time they face off against one
another.
JP: That will be the first Dynamite in January, they'll battle in the
Thunderdome.
Sully: It's a match you will not want to miss but Thunder Bull needs to win
tonight for the MWF World Heavyweight Championship to be on the line.
JP: It's going to be brutal, neither of these men will want to give an inch
to the other. We all remember the Miami Beach Street Fight at Nightmare, what a
stunning match that was.
Sully: Thunder Bull was unlucky in that match. He went for the Impulse off
the top off a beach hut and Doomsday turned it round and managed to get the
three count.
JP: Tonight is all about revenge, or for Doomsday it's all about the chance
to prove to the fans and critics that Nightmare was no fluke. He is the only man
in MWF history to have won every single title on offer and this is his second
run as MWF World Heavyweight Champion.
Sully: He's fought more matches than any other MWF wrestler in history.
JP: It's hard to keep him out of the history books and off the records, but
he deserves it all. He works hard and is the longest serving, without
interruption, wrestler. Week in, week out, he'll be down the gym working hard
and encouraging the other wrestlers.
Sully: A real locker room leader. Thunder Bull wanted to be that legendary
figure but we have to remember Thunder Bull's still relatively inexperienced,
despite winning the MWF World Heavyweight Championship in August against Troy
Knight he's still a little green around the edges.
JP: He's got a lot of talent but that inexperience and love of doing the
impossible shows through. He tried to leap off a beach hut, he paid for it
eventually.
Sully: Sometimes the risks pay off and sometimes they don't. The Pure Hell
match is one where risk really does come into play, you put two wrestlers with a
growing hatred of each other into a steel structure and tell them to knock seven
bells out of each other that's just asking for chaos.
JP: Doomsday has one massive advantage tonight.
Sully: What's that?
JP: The crowd! This New York crowd want only to see one thing tonight...a
Doomsday victory.
Sully: Doomsday's right here in his hometown and it could give him that extra
push when he needs it.
JP: If he wins they will blow the roof off this arena, Madison Square Garden
is a hell of a venue when it's full.
Sully: I love the Garden, I wonder what sort of reaction Thunder Bull is
going to get from the New Yorkers.
JP: I imagine it will be a pleasant one, I mean he's still a popular wrestler
despite his recent leanings towards the darker side.
Sully: He is quite a dark wrestler and recently it appears that evil side of
"The Perfector of Pain" has been coming out.
[JP is about to say something when the crowd start to cheer as Peter Santos
climbs the ring steps and clambers through the middle rope. He raises the mic to
his lips but has to pause as the fans cheer even louder. He smiles and laughs as
he gives a thumbs up to JP and Sully. Eventually the crowd begin to quieten down
and Santos' familiar rumble bellows across the arena.]
Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen, this next match is a Pure Hell match!
The competitors will be locked inside the steel structure you see hanging above
us and the winner will be the first man to knock his opponent down for a ten
count.
[The fans applaud and then gasp as the steel structure above the ring is
winched down into position. Peter Santos climbs from the ring and makes his way
to a safe position as the cell is lowered down to cover the ring.]
JP: There is no escape, once that door is locked there
is no way out.
Sully: Pure Hell, inside a steel structure that is unforgiving. I think I'm
going to hide behind my foot long Subway when this match gets going.
JP: You could hide half the crowd behind that thing!
Sully: Delicious it is.
[Peter Santos raises the mic to his lips and bellows from ringside as MWF
stage hands rush around getting the cell locked down into position as the
introductions begin.]
Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 310 lbs., from New York
City, he is the Maximum Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion, "The
Deadly One" Doomsday!
["You Know You're Right" hits the PA system and the MaxiTron lights up with
images of Doomsday with his belt. The entrance area glows red and the fans go
wild as the figure of Doomsday slowly appears in the entrance way. He walks out
slowly into view of the fans, a smile on his face as he pulls the MWF World
Heavyweight Championship from his shoulder and holds it up to the cheering
crowd.]
JP: What a reception for the hometown boy, right back
in the city he grew up in.
Sully: I bet he was the school bully, the size of Doomsday is scary!
JP: You wouldn't pick a fight with him would you?
Sully: I wouldn't, Thunder Bull would though. This crowd are going wild.
[Doomsday walks down the entrance ramp. His eyes are locked on the steel
structure, but he finds time to high five a few of his hometown fans as he
reaches ringside. Charles Galliant greets him and the MWF World Heavyweight
Championship is handed over, Galliant passes it to the timekeeper who takes it
safely to the table. Charles Galliant opens the door of the steel structure,
which has now been secured into place, and leads Doomsday into it's confines.]
JP: Charles Galliant is a brave man for allowing
himself to be in there during this match.
Sully: Someone has to do it, the wrestlers can't count to ten by themselves.
JP: Would be open to bias, a quick victory could be the key to this match.
Sully: I don't think you'll see that, this is going to be an old fashioned
slobber knocker.
[Doomsday climbs into the ring, surrounded by the steel structure, and makes
his way to the turnbuckles. He climbs up onto them and the fans go wild,
flashing cameras everywhere as Doomsday poses for the fans. His eyes keep
drifting upwards to the top of the cell, some twenty five feet above him.]
Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 275 lbs., "The Perfector of
Pain" Thunder Bull!
["A Place For My Head" by Linkin Park rolls from the PA system and the fans
turn to the entrance way as purple lights flood the entrance area. The fans are
not cheering wildly, they remain calm and almost silent as the theme music
plays. On the start of the chorus, fireworks explode along the entrance ramp in
a sequence up towards the entrance way and on reaching the entrance way purple
pyro explodes everywhere and "The Perfector of Pain" walks out. His appearance
is greeted with rapturous applause from the fans, but they turn back to the ring
as Doomsday raises his arms and taunts to the crowd who immediately cheer for
Doomsday.]
JP: Thunder Bull is going to have to silent this crowd
tonight, otherwise it might just get on top of him.
Sully: They might cheer for Thunder Bull but they go wild for Doomsday.
Thunder Bull's going to find that tough as he's used to being the centre of
attention.
JP: A lesson will have to be learnt, maybe the hard way for Thunder Bull.
Sully: Quite an entrance though but it will take more than fireworks to stun
this New York crowd.
[Thunder Bull quickly walks down the entrance ramp, he points at Doomsday and
shouts verbal challenges. Doomsday just nods and stands firm, the crowd roaring
his name in unison. Thunder Bull stops outside the steel structure as Charles
Galliant pushes open the cell door and "The Perfector of Pain" ducks through it
and slides under the bottom rope into the ring. He walks up to Doomsday and the
two men go toe to toe...Doomsday holds the height and weight advantage so he
leans over Thunder Bull slightly and looks deep into his eyes.]
JP: This is quite a moment, which man is going to break
out first.
Sully: The Garden is ready and waiting for this match, who will make the
other feel Pure Hell tonight?
JP: Doomsday seems the smart choice, you can't lose a match with such a
massive home advantage.
Sully: It is possible and if anyone is capable of rocking the boat then
Thunder Bull is that man.
[The two men are still toe to toe, as they stare at each other. Thunder Bull
is trash talking and Doomsday just nods and smiles as Thunder Bull jaw jacks at
the champion. The bell sounds and the crowd are on their feet in expectation of
a match and a half. Doomsday finally responds to the insults that Thunder Bull
is throwing his way, Doomsday clearly mouths the word "failure" at Thunder Bull
and the crowd roar as this sets "The Perfector of Pain" off and he slams a right
hand into the face of Doomsday. The MWF World Heavyweight Champion is knocked
back by the blow and Thunder Bull roars a challenge before hitting a short arm
clothesline that drops "The Deadly One" onto the mat.]
JP: What a shot from the former MWF World Heavyweight
Champion there, knocking Doomsday right down on the second time of asking.
Sully: The crowd aren't too happy at seeing their local lad dropped so
easily.
[A section of the crowd jeer as Thunder Bull leans down and pulls Doomsday to
his feet. "The Deadly One" is pulled to his feet by Thunder Bull and the ring
shakes as Doomsday is hoisted up and laid out by Thunder Bull with a double knee
face buster. Doomsday clutches his face as Thunder Bull lands and gets straight
back onto his feet, he stands over the fallen Doomsday. The jeers of the
minority of the crowd obviously fall onto deaf ears as Thunder Bull hits a
standing leg drop onto Doomsday. He leaves Doomsday fallen and signals for
Charles Galliant to count, the match referee does so ....1.....2.....the crowd
roar for Doomsday to get up, Thunder Bull looks around a little surprised at the
volume of the crowd's cheers for their fallen hero ....3....Thunder Bull climbs
onto the top rope .....4.....Doomsday rolls over onto his side and the crowd
roar as Charles Galliant stops the count.]
JP: You know what they say...
Sully: ....no, what do they say?
JP: You can't keep a good man down!
Sully: Doomsday's not laid a single punch on Thunder Bull yet, he must be
fuming inside. Thunder Bull has come out all guns blazing in this match.
JP: He's certainly going for it. He's obviously not learned anything from
Nightmare, as he's on the top rope once again.
Sully: From up high!
[Thunder Bull leaps off the top rope, looking for a missile dropkick into the
face of the MWF World Heavyweight Champion. Doomsday is on his feet and the
crowd roar as Doomsday catches Thunder Bull by the legs..."The Perfector of
Pain" cries out as Doomsday struggles to keep him airborne. The ring shakes as
Doomsday brings Thunder Bull down with a massive thud, the powerbomb laying
Thunder Bull flat out.]
JP: What a move!
Sully: He's done it again, Doomsday keeps turning around Thunder Bull's high
flying moves.
JP: This crowd went absolutely insane!
Sully: Stunning stuff...here's the count.
[Doomsday climbs out of the ring as Charles Galliant starts to count at the
grounded Thunder Bull ....1....2.....Doomsday on the outside grabs the ring
steps and throws them into the ring. The crowd roar at the sight of the ring
steps flying into the ring and Doomsday climbs back in after them as Charles
Galliant continues to count ...3.....4.....Thunder Bull begins to move, as
Doomsday leans down and grabs him. The crowd roar as Doomsday locks his right
hand around the throat of Thunder Bull, Charles Galliant stands back as Doomsday
hoists up Thunder Bull and brings him down with the Lock'n'Load onto the steel
ring steps! Thunder Bull's back slams into the hard steel and he bounces off it,
holding his back.]
JP: The Lock'n'Load onto steel ring steps!
Sully: Thunder Bull might just have been broken in half by that move.
Doomsday could put an end to Thunder Bull's challenge right here.
JP: I can't imagine how much pain Thunder Bull is going through here.
Sully: Doomsday's looking pretty smug right now.
[Charles Galliant counts, looking rather stunned as the fans roar "Doomsday!
Doomsday! Doomsday!", .....1......2.....3.....4.....5.....6......Doomsday smiles
as Thunder Bull, his eyes slightly glazed is staring up at the steel mesh at the
top of the cell......7.......Thunder Bull closes his eyes and the fans gasp as
he sits straight up! Doomsday staggers back in disbelief as Thunder Bull sits
up, his long hair hanging over his face.]
JP: He just sat straight up! Straight up!
Sully: Thunder Bull is not going to stay down, he's not going to allow
Doomsday to walk away from his match with barely a scratch.
JP: "The Perfector of Pain" has gone through the barrier, the Lock'n'Load
onto steel ring steps just wasn't enough to keep him down.
Sully: A never say die attitude is what you need to win the top belts in the
MWF.
[Doomsday runs towards Thunder Bull as "The Perfector of Pain" attempts to
stands but his clothesline is ducked by the former MWF World Heavyweight
Champion. Doomsday turns round and Thunder Bull punches him full in the face,
this is followed by a second right hand and the crowd gasp as Thunder Bull hits
a short arm clothesline that sends Doomsday crashing over the top rope and onto
the outside. Thunder Bull doesn't waste a second and climbs out of the ring and
grabs Doomsday by the head. The fans cheer as Thunder Bull begins to win them
over, he sends Doomsday flying into the steel mesh structure. Doomsday attempts
to stop himself but his face hits the steel, Thunder Bull grabs the back of
Doomsday's head and the cheers turn to gasps as Doomsday's face is scrapped
along the steel mesh..]
JP: That's terrible!
Sully: Thunder Bull's evil streak is coming out here on Monday Night
Dynamite, this crowd are watching in wonder.
JP: The former MWF World Heavyweight Champion is really going for it now.
Sully: He won't be former for much longer, he's heading to the Thunderdome
and he'll win back the MWF World Heavyweight Championship from this impostor.
JP: How can you call him an impostor, Doomsday is one of the greatest MWF
wrestlers of all time.
Sully: He doesn't have the potential that Thunder Bull does, "The Perfector
of Pain" is better than most.
[Thunder Bull pulls Doomsday's face off the steel mesh...blood is now
trickling down from the face of Doomsday and he spits blood from his mouth.
Thunder Bull grabs Doomsday and leads him away from the steel mesh. Thunder Bull
begins to run towards the steel mesh and the crowd roar as Doomsday is sent
flying into the steel mesh and crashes straight through the weakened steel mesh
and out into the open space! Cameras flash as Thunder Bull steps through the
hole created by Doomsday's dramatic exit.]
JP: They're out in the open now, anything could happen
out here!
Sully: It's terrifying to think what could happen, Doomsday is being beaten
all over the shop by Thunder Bull at the moment.
JP: I hope Thunder Bull doesn't try anything stupid like he did at Nightmare.
Sully: He's beginning to silence this partisan crowd, they are even warming
to "The Perfector of Pain".
[Doomsday is brought back up to his feet by Thunder Bull and the crowd watch
on, a minority of them jeering as Thunder Bull puts Doomsday's head under his
arm and executes a DDT onto the hard concrete floor. Thunder Bull rolls away and
looks upwards at the steel structure. The crowd roar as they see where Thunder
Bull's eyes are looking. Doomsday is down on the mat and Charles Galliant walks
out to start the count...but Thunder Bull waves his finger at Charles Galliant.]
JP: What is he doing, he's telling Charles Galliant not
to count?
Sully: That's bizarre, he's looking upwards.
JP: You know when I said I hope he doesn't do anything stupid, well anything
involving twenty five feet in the air would count as stupid!
Sully: It's risk taking and Thunder Bull is a risk taker!
[Madison Square Garden comes alive as Thunder Bull pushes Charles Galliant
out of the way and grabs the steel mesh. He takes hold and begins to climb the
side of the cage, step by step he scales the twenty five feet of steel with
Doomsday motionless below him. The crowd get their cameras at the ready as
Thunder Bull pulls himself up to the summit of steel.]
JP: You're going to need to hide behind that Subway
very soon Sully.
Sully: I've got it ready, hang on...someone's eaten half of it!
JP: Use your hands then Sully.
Sully: I'm not going to miss this, Thunder Bull is going to destroy Doomsday
once and for all. I'll be surprised if "The Deadly One" can squash a fly after
this!
[Thunder Bull reaches the edge of the cell, he hauls himself over the top of
it and stops for a second, panting on the top of the cell. Thunder Bull pushes
himself up and looks down at the sight of Doomsday still laid out on the
concrete, Thunder Bull closes his eyes for a second before leaping off the top
of the cell! He glides through the eyes and comes crashing through the air, he
flips his body and the crowd explode as he hits The Impulse onto Doomsday! The
MWF World Heavyweight Champion's body spasms as Thunder Bull connects and
bounces clean off Doomsday. Charles Galliant leaps into action and starts the
count ....1.....2.....3......4.....5......6......7......8.....9.....10! The bell
sounds as Thunder Bull stands, dragging his leg slightly but arms raised in the
air as he taunts a stunned crowd.]
JP: What a victory! What a stunning move.
Sully: That was absolutely insane...
JP: Thunder Bull will be going to the Thunderdome to compete for the MWF
World Heavyweight Championship.
Peter Santos: And your winner, of the Pure Hell match, Thunder Bull!
[Thunder Bull staggers up the entrance ramp, his arms raised in triumph as
Doomsday is given medical assistance.]
Sully: It's been an amazing night in Madison Square
Garden, one I won't forget in a hurry.
JP: I might be back here soon, to watch Gutter Rat as he competes in WEW Mind
Games II.
Sully: That corporate sell out, why would you want to watch him?
JP: He could be bringing WEW gold back to the MWF?
Sully: He's going to bring us trouble!
