Father John Ramsey

versus

"Rat Bastard" Gutter Rat

MWF Television Championship Number One Contender Match

Referee: Charles Galliant

Writer: Ed Walker

JP: This is going to be a good match Sully, Father John Ramsay has been a great asset to the MWF since being signed and now he faces his toughest test.

Sully: He will need every prayer in the bible if he wants to be able to defeat Gutter Rat.

JP: We don't need to tell you people that Gutter Rat is capable of inflicting pain that other wrestlers can only dream of.

Sully: Somewhere in your deepest darkest nightmares lurks the Gutter Rat, he's a "Rat Bastard" alright.

JP: There is more on the line tonight than just a victory, the winner tonight will have the chance at Apache when he makes his return with the MWF Television Championship.

Sully: Can you believe Gutter Rat has never won an MWF Championship?

JP: It's hard to believe but I think Walker had a lot to do with that, he and Gutter Rat have some real history and I doubt he wanted to give Gutter Rat anymore leverage against him.

Sully: Walker is now upstairs and that means Gutter Rat can run wild if he wants.

[The crowd are on their feet as Peter Santos makes his way into the centre of the ring, he raises the mic to his lips and they all fall silent.]

Peter Santos: This match is for the MWF Television Championship Number One Contenders spot, and is scheduled for one fall.

[A cheer goes up through the crowd at this announcement, they fall silent against as Peter Santos raises his hand as a signal that he will continue speaking.]

Peter Santos: Introducing first, weighing in at 153 lbs., from Orlando, Florida, Father John Ramsay!

[The tones of "Come All Ye Faithful" echo around the arena and a large picture of Christ on the cross is shown on the MaxiTron. The entrance way glows a bright orange colour and out walks Father John Ramsay dressed in a priest's robe, he waves to the crowd, a bible in his other hand.]

JP: This man is the word of the Lord and he's come to cleanse the MWF.

Sully: He'll have a tough time trying to convert Gutter Rat to all this biblical nonsense.

JP: I can't see Gutter Rat being the church on Sunday type...

Sully: ...me neither.

[Father John Ramsay shakes the fans hands as he walks down the entrance ramp, touching some of their foreheads and making the sign of the cross. The camera cuts to a sign that reads "BLESS ME, I'VE SINNED" before cutting back to the ring where Ramsay is now standing, he shakes the hand of Peter Santos before removing his robe to reveal standard wrestling trunks with a cross embossed onto the side of them.]

Peter Santos: And the opponent, weighing in at 275 lbs., from the Alleys of Guttersville, the "Rat Bastard" Gutter Rat!

[Jeers go up from the crowd as out from behind a whole entrance way full of smoke walks Gutter Rat...in his hand, instead of a bible, he holds a long piece of chain which he whirls in time to "More Human Than Human" by Rob Zombie. He roars insults at the crowd who roar back insults at him.]

JP: He's not a popular guy after the treatment he gave the MWF President, I think the fans realised just how dangerous this man is.

Sully: He is sick and twisted but is going to be a massive star soon.

[Gutter Rat ignores the fans as he walks down the entrance ramp, his mask hiding some of his face...his eyes though are visible and they are fixed on the figure of Father John Ramsay who waits inside the ring.]

JP: They have two very different styles which should make for a fascinating wrestling match...Gutter Rat is an all out brawler while Father John Ramsay is a technical master...a real old school mat wrestler.

Sully: Should be interesting to watch. I can't see Gutter Rat being beaten though.

JP: I can, Father John Ramsay is a lot quicker and lighter than his opponent and that will help him greatly in the contest.

Sully: Unless "Rat Bastard" goes straight for him and backs him into a corner.

[Gutter Rat climbs up onto the ring apron, he pauses for a moment and the two men exchange glances. Father John Ramsay after looking into the eyes of Gutter Rat makes the sign of the cross and turns away with a look pure disgust on his face. Charles Galliant orders Gutter Rat to leave the chain at ringside, Gutter Rat throws it to the floor and enters the ring to jeers from the crowd. Father John Ramsay turns back to face Gutter Rat, despite giving away a few inches to Gutter Rat he rears up and glares at "Rat Bastard".]

JP: Ramsay has no fear of Gutter Rat, he knows that he's simply trying to scare him.

Sully: I for one would be very scared by Gutter Rat, he's terrifying...I mean if you were walking down an alley in Guttersville you would not want to see that coming the other way!

JP: All of God's creatures can be cured and I'm sure Ramsay will do his best to cure him.

Sully: Better get the crucifixes and holy water ready because a heck of a demon is going to come flying out!

[Charles Galliant checks both wrestlers and then calls for the bell, Ramsay and Rat square up to each other. Gutter Rat appears to have a slightly mocking tone to his stance and Ramsay looks deep into the eyes of Gutter Rat and says something....Gutter Rat looks very annoyed at whatever has been said and he spits some words back at Gutter Rat. It all kicks off as Ramsay moves back slightly and Gutter Rat roars and launches his attack....Ramsay dodges the punches and his turn of speed is incredible as he ducks round behind Gutter Rat and takes out his knee with a sweep of the leg. Gutter Rat is down to one knee and Father John Ramsay grabs him from behind and locks in sleeper hold.]

JP: This is an early tap out, Ramsay looking to put Gutter Rat out of commission straight away.

Sully: Never going to happen, you'll need to lock in a hundred sleepers and then Gutter Rat might just be a bit weary.

[Gutter Rat is rolled up as Ramsay modifies the sleeper and drags his legs around the frame of Gutter Rat and wrenches the neck of Gutter Rat back..."Rat Bastard" is laughing with joy and Ramsay looks wide eyed and scared at the cackling coming from Gutter Rat. Ramsay releases the hold and the crowd jeer as Gutter Rat bites the arm of Ramsay and the Father roars with pain!]

JP: That filthy "Rat Bastard", he just bit the arm of Father John Ramsay.

Sully: Now that's called improvisation.

JP: No, it's barbaric!

Sully: Calm down JP....

[Father John Ramsay has leapt to his feet, he holds his arm as Charles Galliant goes to check on him. Father John Ramsay remonstrates with the referee while Gutter Rat gets slowly to his feet behind Ramsay...the crowd are screaming a warning and Ramsay turns round but only for Gutter Rat to slam a right hand into the face of Ramsay. The head of Ramsay flips back and another right hand acts as an upper cut and has Father John Ramsay reeling back towards the turnbuckle. The crowd jeer as the right hands fly from Gutter Rat and Ramsay can't back away any further, he hits the turnbuckle and a boot to the face from Gutter Rat has Ramsay slumped against the turnbuckle. "Rat Bastard" turns away and makes his way to the opposite turnbuckle.]

JP: I wonder what he's up to now...the mind of Gutter Rat is certainly a sick one.

Sully: You're right about that, he's insane. The MWF needs him though, it just isn't the same without him being around.

[Gutter Rat is warming up for a move...he claps his hands and starts to run across the ring. Father John Ramsay is powerless to move as Gutter Rat avalanches into him, the turnbuckle sags as Ramsay is crushed against it by the weight of Gutter Rat who roars with delight. Ramsay collapses forward and lands face first onto the canvas, the crowd scream with horror as Gutter Rat leans down and grabs the back of Ramsay's head. Referee Charles Galliant looks horrified as Gutter Rat slams the face of Father John Ramsay into the canvas and rubs it hard into the mat, he stands up and slams his foot into the back of Ramsay's head. Gutter Rat turns to referee Charles Galliant orders him to count, the cover is made ....1......2! Ramsay breaks free to the cheers of the crowd.]

JP: The Good Lord isn't going to let Father John Ramsay go down that easily...

Sully: ...he needs a bit of divine intervention though, he could really use some of that at the moment.

JP: A miracle could well be worked, it's not good for Gutter Rat he wants to win this match and stake a claim to his first MWF Championship win.

Sully: The MWF Television Championship is quite a prize these days, Apache won't be easy to beat though.

[Father John Ramsay is dragged to his feet by Gutter Rat...Gutter Rat locks in a headlock and looks to throw Ramsay over the top rope but Father John Ramsay refuses to move. Gutter Rat attempts again but Ramsay breaks free of the headlock and the crowd explode as Ramsay executes a neck breaker that leaves both men down on the mat. Charles Galliant looks down as both men thud against the canvas and are laid out....he begins to count .....1......2.......3......4...the crowd jeer as Gutter Rat is actually the first to move, he rolls over and starts to clamber to his feet......5.......Gutter Rat is back on his feet and he gets down to a crouched position.]

JP: Oh no....

Sully: ...I know what's coming and it doesn't look good for Father John Ramsay, not at all, he's going to feel some hellish pain in a moment.

JP: Don't get up Ramsay stay down and you might keep some of your organs intact because this is going to be painful.

Sully: He's moving!

[..........6.........Father John Ramsay begins to get to his feet as Gutter Rat stamps the ground like a bull waiting to charge.......7.......Galliant calls the seven and Father John Ramsay is up, he slowly turns round and the ring shakes as Gutter Rat charges and hits Ramsay with the Proverbial Train Wreck! Ramsay is thrown a few feet in the air and brought crashing down in a sickening thud as Gutter Rat lands on him and the crowd explode with anger as Charles Galliant counts .....1.......2.......3! The bell sounds and Gutter Rat pulls himself up to the tremendous jeers of the crowd.]

JP: Gutter Rat is the new number one contender and Father John Ramsay has just been flattened.

Sully: I don't think Ramsay's going to be able to take a sermon for a while, Gutter Rat just tore him to pieces there.

JP: I think we might need a medical team down here again, Ramsay's not looking good at all.

Peter Santos: And your winner, and new number one contender for the Maximum Wrestling Federation Television Championship, Gutter Rat!

[A loud jeer goes up at the announcement as the camera focuses on Gutter Rat standing on the top rope, with his chain in hand and he whirls it in the direction of the crowd laughing hysterically. Father John Ramsay is now sitting up, rubbing his neck and wondering what the hell happened.]

JP: I think we need to take a break, we have a very important announcement still to come tonight from the MWF World Heavyweight Champion.

Sully: Thunder Bull is going to make a monumental announcement.

JP: It should be interesting, we'll see you on the other side of this.
