The Master Plan; The Hobo and MWF Xtreme Champion, Tempest.

Non Title Tag Team Match

Writer: Jason Williams

JP: Welcome back Ladies and Gentlemen we are back from our commercial break and a hell of a battle is up next.

Sully: Youre right there my co-partner as the reigning MWF Tag Team Champions and winners of the Best Tag Team of 2004 Award square off against former Tag Team Champions and runner-ups in Best Tag Team of 2004 category.

JP: Isnt it ironic two top teams in the Maximum Wrestling Federation with the same achievements as a tag team square off tonight here in Los Angeles?

Sully: Kronik have finished in an uphill direction at the end of 2004 capturing the Tag Team titles from then the champions Tempest and The Hobo.

JP: Tempest however, managed to maintain the Xtreme title within the Master Plan base.

Sully: But Paddy Punch didnt take too kindly to this title change.

JP: In fact there has been some controversy in the Master Plan team all week this could be an open advantage for Kronik here tonight in this non-title match.

Sully: Well see it all unfold right here, right now John

[The bell rings and the crowd fall silent, waiting in anticipation for the next match to get underway. Peter Santos climbs up the steel steps and enters the ring to take his spot in the middle of the ring. The lights dim slightly and a bright white light falls above his head. He looks down at his feet, his left arm neatly placed in his trouser pocket and with his right hand brings the microphone upwards to his lips and billows out with passion, his voice soaring through the sky.]

Peter Santos: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a non-title tag team match

[The crowd stand to their feet, cheering wildly as Numb by Linkin Park blasts on the sound system and the cheers continue swelling the formation of Sozzey and Mak emerge from behind the curtains with the MWF Tag Team titles strapped tightly around their waists. Both men raise a fist in the air to the roar of the crowd as they slowly approach the ring. They climb on the apron and acknowledge the crowd of their Tag Team title belts, tapping them gently before entering the ring.]

Peter Santos: First, introducing from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at a combined weight of 555lbs the Maximum Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, Sozzey and Mak Kronik!

[They raise their arms in the air once again shaking hands with referee Chad Pattison who takes possession of their Tag Team titles and hands them to the timekeeper. He begins to search for any foreign objects carried by either member of Kronik but finds nothing. Suddenly the theme music of Sozzey and Mak transcends into a familiar sound with the fans looking at one another confused. One of a Can strikes over the PA system and out walks The Hobo with a grim look expressed across his face. The crowd give a mixed reaction of cheers and jeers, unsure of what to make of this tension within the Master Plan group.]

Peter Santos: And their opponents, first from Detroit, Michigan, weighing in at 213lbs he is a member of the Master Plan Paddy Punch The Hobo!

[There is another mixed reaction to this announcement while John Pilkington and Tim Sullivan look on rather complex by this situation. The Hobo slides into the ring and stares a hole in both Sozzey and Mak. The Hobo decides to test the suitability of the ropes while the music dies down and Hearts Filthy Lesson by David Bowie hits the MaxiTrons and out saunters the leader of the Master Plan, Tempest with the Xtreme title clutched to his chest as it drapes helplessly around his shoulder with the crowd jeering heavily, showing their hate for this superstar. He looks at The Hobo, almost baffled.]

Peter Santos: And his tag team partner, from Boston MA, weighing in at 254lbs the Maximum Wrestling Federation Xtreme Champion and a member of the Master Plan, Tempest!

[Peter Santos departures the ring while Tempest is halfway down the ramp shaking his head at The Hobo who has one eye on his tag team partner and the other on their opponents.]

JP: The Hobo still showing he hasnt forgotten that Tempest stole his Xtreme title from him.

Sully: What was Hobo thinking walking out by himself? He could have been jumped by those goons!

JP: Those goons are the Tag Team Champions whether you like it or not and I believe The Hobo made his way to the ring by himself to have some space between Tempest and him. The man promised the Xtreme title and the Tag Team titles would remain around Hobos waist and now look his hands are empty!

Sully: So what if Hobo has nothing? At least Tempest took the responsibility of capturing the Xtreme title in that three way tag team match on the 100th Dynamite show.

[Tempest now steps in between the second and third ropes and walks over to Chad Pattison, handing him the Xtreme title belt. The Hobo looks on, staring mainly at the Xtreme title before turning away. Tempest looks over at Paddy Punch and questions whether he wants to start the match. Hobo ignores Tempests offer and makes his way on the outside. Both Mak and Sozzey pick between the two and Mak is picked at random. Sozzey makes his way outside the ring and the official, Chad Pattison waves for the bell, which signals and the match has started.]

Sully: Tempest starting off for his team and you can rest assure if the Master Plan do win this match, they will be inline for an automatic Tag Team title rematch that they rightfully deserve.

JP: Strange that Hobo didnt want to start this contest off, hes always up for a fight. Obviously this betrayal has somewhat affected him as he no longer holds the Xtreme title.

Sully: Oh please Im sure Hobo just wants his close friend to start off the match to gain the advantage I feel those Tag Team titles are close once again to the Master Plan.

JP: While I feel they are slipping away.

[Both Tempest and Mak begin to circle each other with Sozzey cheering on his tag team partner and the crowd getting behind Kronik. Mak lunges forward and catches the wise Tempest off guard with a forearm to the jaw that rocks Tempest back into the ropes. Sozzey unloads with furious right hands and then a well-executed knife edge chop. Tempest screams in pain, temporarily winded to cheers from the crowd. Chad Pattison looks on from the corner and Mak charges forward once again looking for a clothesline but Tempest ducks. However, on the rebound Tempest is unfortunate enough to be taken down with a stiff clothesline as he falls to the canvas on his shoulders. Mak with the early cover while Hobo enters the ring, 1 2 Hobo yanks the foot of Mak, his body flung off Tempest.]

Sully: See! The Hobo with some assist there JP.

JP: He didnt want to lose the match this early; otherwise he would be a laughing stock.

Sully: Im sure Tempest would have kicked out but its good to know Hobo was on guard.

JP: He now needs to put his game-face on and forget about the mishaps from the 100th Dynamite show.

Sully: Its all in the past.

[Mak watches Hobos every move as he walks back to his corner. Mak nails a well-planted boot to the side of Tempests face and then grabs both of the Xtreme Champions legs and pulls him over to Kroniks corner. Mak now tags in Sozzey to resounding cheers. Both men now double team Tempest and irish whip him into the ropes. On the comeback Tempest is nailed with a double team shoulder block, much to the delight of The Hobo.]

JP: Well The Hobo seems to be enjoying this as much as the crowd are.

Sully: Shut up JP! Hobo must be laughing at something else; maybe he told himself a funny joke!

JP: Oh really and what might that be?

Sully: Maybe what an irritating and blundering idiot you are?

[Sozzey capitalises with the nonchalant cover, pressing down on Tempests upper body, 1 2 Chad Pattison confirms it was only a two count.]

JP: I believe you were referring to yourself there just a moment ago Sully.

Sully: When have I ever been irritating?

JP: All the time, constantly whining and yapping I just cant help but wonder when my ears will bleed.

Sully: You only say that JP because your not a good listener.

JP: Im sorry, what!?

[Tim Sullivan grinds his teeth but is interrupted as Tempest pokes Sozzey in the eye and waddles over to The Hobo who shows him no compassion. The Hobo just slaps Tempest on the back while Chad Pattison informs Kronik it was indeed a legal tag. The Hobo enters the ring while Tempest looks on frustrated by the turnout of the match. Paddy Punch begins hurling abuse towards Tempest and pointing directly at the Xtreme title while Tempest shakes his head in denial. Sozzey looks at Mak and smiles. Sozzey walks up behind Hobo and the Kronik member locks Hobos arms up and overpowers him as he hoists him in the air and drills him into the mat with a deadly full nelson slam.]

JP: Ouch! Did you feel the impact of that full nelson slam.

Sully: Kronik are dominating so far this isnt right.

JP: Its Tempests fault for not sorting these issues out with Hobo sooner rather than later. This team of the Master Plan has become like an everyday dysfunctional family no communication whatsoever.

Sully: Its so sad to watch.

[The Hobo squirms on the mat with Sozzey going for another cover, 1 2 Hobo gets a shoulder up. The crowd begin clapping on Kronik with Sozzey lifting up a rising Paddy Punch to his feet. Sozzey irish whips Hobo into the ropes and looks for a big boot, however The Hobo puts on the breaks. Sozzey has other ideas and charges towards The Hobo with the right hand but Hobo manages to find the strength to pull the ropes down. The ropes are now fully bridged and Sozzey goes flying over the top and crashing and burning on the outside. The crowd jeers heavily, some shocked while Chad Pattison runs to check on the Kronik member. The Hobo stands to his feet pointing at Mak and crouches down, ready and coiled.]

JP: The Hobo seems determined to make a statement here tonight.

Sully: Hes just showing his loyalty to Tempest and even EniGma, his friends of the Master Plan.

JP: Or maybe hes showing Tempest Hey, Im better than you

Sully: Thats pushing your luck there John.

[Sozzey stands to a vertical base, shoving Chad Pattison to one side and The Hobo runs against the corresponding ropes and nears Sozzey before launching in the air and shooting his legs out with a baseball dropkick, knocking Sozzey into the barricade hard. The fans fall back, jeering even more with Mak trying to get his partner back into the frame of mind. The Hobo now distracts the referee while Tempest sneakily tip-toes over to Sozzey and picks up the larger man to his feet. Tempest leads Sozzey around the ring and throws him headfirst into the ring post. Sozzeys head bounces off the steel while Hobo continues distracting the referee purposely. Tempest nails a low kick to the abdomen of Sozzey who doubles over and Tempest with the go-behind lifts Sozzey in the air with the high angle back suplex to the hard padding on the floor.]

Sully: Did you hear that thud?

JP: That was a sickening sound and doesnt bode well for Kronik

Sully: The Master Plan seem to have found that communication now working as a team like nothing ever happened.

[Tempest innocently climbs back onto the ring apron, Mak now try to enter the fray but Chad Pattison runs over to prevent Mak from interfering. The Hobo slides outside the ring and kicks away at the limp body of Sozzey who shows no signs of movement. The Hobo struggles to lift a spaghetti-legged Sozzey to his feet and rolls him under the ropes, into the ring and re-enters shortly after. Chad Pattison manages to restrain Mak from entering and orders him to the outside while The Hobo with the lateral press, 1 2 kickout by Sozzey. The crowd is cheering on Kronik and The Hobo tags in Tempest.]

Sully: The Hobo with the tag there.

JP: Seems like they are working as a unit now.

Sully: A somewhat cohesive unit.

JP: Whatever you say Sully whatever you say.

[Sozzey seems to have suffered some sort of concussion, the blow to his head affecting him and Tempest comes in with well-placed knees to the forehead of Sozzey. Tempest then rolls Sozzey onto his stomach and places a knee into the back of the Kronik member. Tempest then wrenches on the neck of Sozzey locking in the Basic Agony submission manoeuvre. Sozzey awakens, screaming in pain with The Hobo looking on, wiping his forehead as the sweat pours. Mak is trying desperately to get his tag team partner back into it but Sozzey begins to fade, no way to escape the hold.]

Sully: Basic Agony is locked in and that is damn sure an uncomfortable position for Sozzey.

JP: This is a very painful submission move that Tempest has learned to perform to perfection.

[The crowd is screaming frantically at Sozzey not to give in, his face turning a bright purple as his jaw drops and his arms frail about. Mak has no choice but to enter the ring and nails a fatal blow to the back of Tempests head who falls off Sozzey and lies flat on his stomach with the crowd giving thunderous cheers.]

JP: What a shot there from Mak and now Sozzey has the chance to make the all-important tag.

Sully: Come on Tempest, Hobo is outstretching his hand just for you!

JP: Sozzey is crawling to the corner now!

Sully: Faster Tempest faster!

[Chad Pattison doesnt bother using his authority with the infamous ten count and instead is waiting for the tag. Sozzey is closest to the corner and Tempest realises this. Tempest vaults forward to try and grab the leg of Sozzey to prevent the tag. But it is too late and Sozzey makes the huge tag to Mak. The crowd is on their feet, ecstatic and Tempests rises to his feet and is greeted with a huge big boot, knocking him down to the mat. Mak charges over and grabs the arm of The Hobo and hip tosses him back into the ring. The Hobo springs to his feet in a jolt and Mak nails a knee to the stomach and grabs the head of Hobo. Mak snaps back with a dangerous ddt. The Hobo rolls to the outside clasping onto his head while Mak cleans house.]

JP: Mak is on fire right now!

Sully: But Tempest is back to his feet!

[Mak soon notices Tempest back up and runs towards the already-waiting Tempest and falls victim to a tilt-o-whirl-slam from the Xtreme Champion. Maks body crashes deep into the canvas while Tempest manages to stagger back to his feet looking around for The Hobo. Sozzey now intervenes with a shuffle side kick to the face of Tempest who falls into the ropes. The referee has lost control of all four men and Sozzey hooks Tempest up looking for the almighty Jackhammer. Though Tempest outsmarts one half of the Tag Team Champions, collapsing to his knees and then pushing Sozzey forward. Sozzey inadvertently nails Chad Pattison full in the face. The crowd are shocked and Sozzey turns around to confront Tempest but The Hobo sneaks from behind and wraps the arm of Sozzey around his neck and in one split second nails a malicious Hobo Cutter, the fans booing.]

Sully: HOBO CUTTER! THIS IS THE END OF KRONIK!

JP: Both members of Kronik are down and the disjointed team of Tempest and Hobo are standing tall.

Sully: This is unbelievable; we are about to crown

JP: Its non-title remember your moron!

[Tempest whispers in The Hobos ear, obviously having an evasive tactic planned. The Hobo smiles sadistically and rolls to the outside once again and steals the Xtreme title belt from ring side. Tempest has a wide smile, though that facial expression soon turns to a look of terror as Mak spins Tempest around and nails an open fist to the jaw. Tempest is groggy and Mak seizes the advantage and wraps his arm around the neck of Tempest. However The Hobo has now re-entered the ring with the Xtreme title firmly in his grasp. Mak in unaware of this and swings around looking for the Mak Drive. The Hobo swings the Xtreme title belt forward, aiming directly for Mak but at the last second, Mak somehow ducks under the attempted shot with the title. The belt though continues to swing at full velocity and The Hobo smashes the Xtreme title into the face of Tempest who falls to the mat, his arms outspread.]

JP: What a shot with the title belt!

Sully: No, this cant be true!

JP: Well like it or not Sully but The Hobo just struck Tempest with the belt, inadvertent or not!

Sully: Quick Hobo do something!

[The Hobo stands up; his expression seems glum not actually caring about what happened. He looks to nail Mak on the second attempt but Sozzey comes from out of no where and tackles Hobo to the ground. Both men pummel each other with blow after blow and Maks eyes turn to notice Chad Pattison stirring. Mak yells at Sozzey who has made quick work of Hobo and thrown him shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Sozzey now re-enters and Tempest is crawling on his hands and knees, bleeding profusely from the belt shot. Kronik stand over Tempest and both men grab each arm of Tempest and lift him to his feet, his body weak. Kronik smile and raise their arms to the cheering crowd. The crowd roar along and Kronik nail their double team finisher, Playtime Ended driving Tempests broken body deep into the canvas!]

JP: And thats their double team finisher known as Playtime Ended!

Sully: Its a devastating move and Tempest just felt it for the first time.

[The crowd in Los Angeles are roaring with approval where Chad Pattison turns around with Sozzey kicking away at The Hobo who tries to break up the pin attempt while Mak makes the cover, hooking the leg of Tempest and the referee initiates the count, 1 2 3. The fans jump to their feet in joy and The Hobo drops his head in shame. Both Sozzey and Mak raise their arms in the air and are handed back the Tag Team titles, raising them in the air to the cheering capacity crowd.]

JP: The tenacity of these men is unique and Mak just pinned the Xtreme Champion for the three count!

Sully: Kronik have proved that they can beat The Master Plan and are on a role yet again to my disapproval.

JP: There was some miscommunication there between The Hobo and Tempest early on and concluding this match.

Sully: The Hobos accidental shot with the Xtreme title to the head of Tempest allowed Kronik to pick up the pieces.

[Kronik climb out of the ring, leaving The Hobo to kneel down by the head of Tempest and staring down Kronik in dismay. Tempest is motionless and still not aware of what happened. He wipes his forehead and looks at his bloody hands and then at The Hobo. Paddy Punch offers to help Tempest back up but Tempest just falls back and covers his eyes not wanting to look at The Hobo. Paddy Punch just chuckles to himself and stands to his feet and begins to leave the ring while Kronik celebrate on top of the rampway, their Tag Team titles aloft in the air.]

Peter Santos: Ladies and Gentlemen, the winners of the match via pinfall the Maximum Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions, Sozzey and Mak Kronik!

[The Hobo has his back turned to Tempest who has just realised of Hobos absence from the ring. Tempest looks down at the mat, his blood dripping onto the canvas as a crimson red ocean. Tempest retrieves his Xtreme title belt and miserably exits the ring.]

JP: What an end to an epic match and the controversy continues within the Master Plan.

Sully: Things will get better, they just need time.

JP: I would love to see The Hobo square off against Tempest for the Xtreme title, which would be a classic battle.

Sully; Are you crazy! That would destroy the Master Plan!

JP: Maybe so, anyway folks its time we took a break after this heated competition; well be back right after this.
