As the camera switches back to show the arena, we are greeted by
the sight of Adam the Righteous standing in the ring, microphone held
to his lips.
Sully: Look who's back!
JP: It's Adam the Righteous. Someone who we
haven't seen for a little bit.
Sully: What's he doing in the ring?
JP: I guess we'll find out sooner rather
than later.
Adam begins to speak into the microphone which is cradled in both
hands.
A.T.R: Well It's been a while since I've
been down to this ring. And it's been even longer since I've
actually taken the time to speak to you fans.
The fans give a little pop as he paces about the ring a bit,
speaking.
A.T.R.: And because of this, I am very eager
to start again. I am very eager to dive right back into the thick of
the action, and I am very keen to make as big an impact as I did when
I brought myself to the MWF.
He'd be taking his time with his words, drawing them out.
A.T.R.: So I am offering any one.. Any one
person out there to come down to the ring and challenge me If I have
to come back there to get some action, I will but if anyone out
there feels as if they-
His speech is cut off by someone's entrance music. It is none
other than the General Manager of the MWF: Dom Stoate, who walks down
the ramp, a bit of a smile on his face as the fans begin to boo and
jeer him violently.
Sully: Has he come down to teach him a
lesson?
JP: Somehow I don't think he has come down
here to fight him.
Stoate eventually reaches the ring and steps up the steps before
making his way across the apron and then into the ring beneath the
top rope. He would be handed his own microphone, in which he would
begin to speak to the Adam.
Stoate: Adam I'd be lying if I said I liked
you
This alone rouses some boos and jeers from the audience. Stoate
ignores them and continues.
Stoate: But, like many of our wrestlers in
this business, you are very talented. You have a lot of talent, and I
think you have a big future.
JP: He's certainly right about that.
Stoate continues, Adam resting his hands on his hips as he
listens.
Stoate: So I have a proposition for
you.
JP: Uh-oh.
The fans do not like the sound of it, but Adam, after a brief
glance about the audience, listens and waits.
Sully: A proposition!
Adam finally raises his own microphone and speaks.
A.T.R.: Aproposition?
Stoate: That's right, Adam. Seeing as I am
such a generous guy, I am offering you chance to work with me, your
General Manager.
This draws more boos and jeers from the audience who try to
persuade A.T.R. not to by chanting his name.
A.T.R.: Stoatedon't get me wrong or
anything. But you are serious about wanting me to join you?
Stoate would hesitate before nodding and replying.
Stoate: That's right, Adam. I would.
A.T.R. would pause a bit more, turning and pacing around a bit
before looking up towards Stoate.
A.T.R.: And you think that I would actually
want to join you?
Stoate doesn't seem to like where this one is going and Adam takes
his time saying it all. He'd turn back to face Stoate.
A.T.R.: I'll do it
Naturally, this rouses heavy boos and jeers from the audience as
Adam reaches forwards and shakes the General Manager's hand
JP: No way! He accepted the offer!
Sully: What a good move!
General Manager starts to speak again.
Stoate: Good moveYou see (he shakes his
hand as he goes.) having the General Manager as a friend is a very,
very good thing in a business like this
The scene closes on the two shaking hands
JP: What is this going to mean for the
two?
Sully: What is this going to mean for
Adam?
