JP: That match was incredible, I hope we
have more invitational matches in the future.
Sully: Me to, that Flashman has a lot of
talent for a WEW wrestler...all three men were fantastic.
JP: Speaking of fantastic we have a report
from Ian Gonzales now on what exactly Troy Knight has been up to
since the match last week.
Sully: Thunder Bull defeated the former MWF
World Heavyweight Champion and I don't think Lawrence Knight was too
happy.
JP: Lawrence Knight has managed his son to
such success and he saw it all disappear as Thunder Bull produced a
stunning performance to take the belt away from Troy Knight.
Sully: I think we all know Troy had out
stayed his welcome at the top of the MWF tree and it was now time for
a new man at the top....not sure if Thunder Bull was the best
choice.
JP: He's a great wrestler and Team Elite are
set to become quite a force in the MWF.
Sully: Well here's Ian with the latest on
the Knight family.
[The scene cuts to a pre-recorded package, Ian Gonzales is
standing at Dallas Central Airport, he runs a hand through his
thinning hair before speaking.]
Gonzales: Hello MWF fans! We're here at
Dallas airport to show you exactly what happened to Troy Knight after
last weeks defeat at the hands of Thunder Bull, we've also got a
recorded message from Troy Knight's father for you all.
[Gonzales walks along the corridor, it is a glass faced corridor
which allows for the planes to be seen landing and taking off.]
Gonzales: Troy Knight left Dallas airport in
a hurry on Monday night, the entire Knight entourage boarded the next
plane for Paris. Knight was advised not to fly by the doctors at
Dallas hospital but the former champion had other ideas. I spoke to
the doctor's and this is what they had to say....
[We now cut to Ian Gonzales in Dallas hospital where he is talking
to a man who appears to be a doctor.]
Gonzales: Dr. Spitz, what can you tell us
about Troy Knight's condition?
Spitz: Well, he was not in good shape. He was clearly suffered
from concussion, he didn't know the name of his father and he was
convinced he hadn't lost the match.
Gonzales: What did you reccomend?
Spitz: We wanted to keep him in for overnight observation, plus
he had some serious damage to his shoulder.
Gonzales: Which shoulder?
Spitz: His right shoulder, I believe he had already had a small
amount of surgery on this shoulder prior to the match to allow him to
wrestle. He should not of been wrestling last monday and I'm not sure
who allowed him to, his shoulder could not be beyond repair.
Gonzales: Are you saying that Troy Knight
could be forced to retire from wrestling?
Spitz: Without immediate surgery it is quite possible that Troy
Knight may never wrestle again, even if he does he will not be able
to compete with the kind of intensity as before. The stress placed
upon his shoulder during the match last monday caused serious
rupturing and dislocation of the ligaments.
Gonzales: Why did he refuse the
surgery?
Spitz: Due to the concussion he would not of been aware of the
tremendous pain that his shoulder was in.
Gonzales: Can he be treated in Paris?
Spitz: Yes, but if it's left too late he will have permanent
damage.
Gonzales: Thank you Doctor Spitz.
[The scene is now back at Dallas airport where Ian Gonzales looks
grave and concerned.]
Gonzales: Now as promised we will show you
the message from Troy Knight's father, Lawrence Knight sent this
message to the MWF on Thursday morning last week.....fans of Troy
Knight may find the following video message distressing.
[The face of Lawrence Knight suddenly appears and we are sitting
at a hospital bed, Lawrence Knight sits on a chair beside the bed,
Bobby and Myles are silenty sitting on the floor next to the bed.
Jonathon is looking worriedly down at Troy Knight who is asleep in
the bed, Buck watches from the corner.]
Lawrence Knight: You see what you people
have done? Do you not understand what your thirst for my son has
caused to happen? I am left with a crippled son because he was forced
to wrestle...he was forced to defend his title in a condition that
was not one hundred percent. Thunder Bull beat him to a pulp, but I
do not blame Thunder Bull, I do not blame the MWF, no, I blame
you!
[The camera pans up to Jonathon but he turns away as soon as it
focus' on him. Lawrence Knight coughs and the camera comes back to
him.]
Lawrence Knight: Troy. He will wrestle
again, his shoulder is being surgically repaired. When he will return
I do not know, whether he wants to return I do not know, whether I
want him to return I do not know. I hope you people are proud of
yourselves for what you've done, this is the Knight family saying
goodbye!
[The last thing we see is Lawrence Knight's fist coming towards
the camera, and the sound of Bobby crying. We now see Ian Gonzales
back at Dallas airport.]
Gonzales: Distressing scenes there, Lawrence
Knight certainly with some strong words there...well I hope that has
answered all your questions MWF fans, now back to JP and
Sully.
[The scene comes back to the arena where the fans are in a state
of shock at what has happened, some fans are actually shedding a tear
at the words of Lawrence Knight.]
JP: Distressing scenes, exactly as Ian
said...I can't believe that Troy Knight could well be out of action
for a very long time.
Sully: It's a serious injury, it's tough to
recover and when he does recover it's unlikely that we'll see him at
the top of the MWF again.
JP: Troy Knight could return a different man
that's for sure, he will still be loved by the crowd but his father
seems enraged.
Sully: Lawrence Knight has no right to put
this on the MWF fans, it is not their fault that he forced his son
into wrestler. He knew the risks and he let him wrestle.
JP: I think the MWF's medical officer Tom
Halliday will have a lot to answer for, he cleared Troy Knight to
wrestle when it now seems obvious that Troy Knight was in now fit
state to wrestle.
Sully: I hope the next four guys are cleared
to wrestle because they are going to be in quite a savage match,
Shiv, Father John Ramsay, Masked Fury and Iniquity are going to be
competing for a shot at the MWF Xtreme Championship.
JP: This will be match of the night, without
a doubt....you've got wrestlers in here that really want to go places
in the MWF.
Sully: I'm backing Iniquity all the way, a
former MWF Xtreme Champion, a member of "The Empire" and with the
backing of General Manager Insane Wayne he's going to be hard to
stop.
JP: Don't forget about Shiv, what a talent
he is...
Sully: ....also a former MWF Xtreme
Champion, he's good but I just feel he lacks focus.
