MWF World Champion: "The Player" Ace Spade
versus
MWF Tag Team Champion: "Hardcore Living Legend" Insane Wayne
w/Iniquity
Non-Title Match
Referee: Charles Galliant
Writer: Jake Rhodes
[Peter Santos steps out into the center of the ring with a
microphone in his hand]
Peter Santos: Ladies and gentlemen it's time for the main-event
of the evening. This match is scheduled for one fall and it is a
non-title match.
JP: That's because Spade is too much of a
chicken to defend the belt against Insane Wayne.
Sully: Hey! Show some respect JP, Ace Spade
is the greatest MWF World Champion we've ever had.
JP: I'm not so sure I agree with
that...
Sully: Well be sure because I think that
gold belt will be around the waist of Spade for a long time to
come.
Peter Santos: Introducing first, hailing from The Misery's,
Florida. He tips the scales at 275 lbs and stands at 6'11. Being lead
to the ring by Iniquity here is Insane Wayne!
["My Sacrifice" by Creed hits the PA system and the crowd jump to
their feet and cheer as Insane Wayne makes his way down the ramp with
Iniquity behind him. Wayne steps over the top rope and raises his
arms, drawing another large cheer from the crowd.]
JP: The crowd are hot for Insane Wayne
tonight Sully.
Sully: Unlike you JP, you seem to be hot for
Wayne every night.
JP: Will you shut up and call the action
like you're paid to do?
[Again Peter Santos steps across the ring from the corner and gets
ready to introduce the next participant.]
Peter Santos: And now making his way to the ring from
Hollywood, California. Weighing in at a lean 230 lbs, he is the
current MWF World Champion. Introducing "The Player" Ace Spade!
[Radiohead's "Idioteque" starts up and the crowd begin to jeer the
MwF champion. Ace Spade walks through the curtain with the MWF World
title wrapped around his waist. Still at the top of the ramp Ace
Spade un-buckles the belt and raises it for the entire arena to see.
Insane Wayne has a disgusted look on his face, his fists are already
clenched. Spade walks down the ramp, on the way a kid tries to touch
Ace's hand. "The Player" turns around to the child and threatens to
slap him before turning around again and walking to the ring.]
JP: That's not how a true champion should
act, that was a kid for God's sake.
Sully: Yeah and he had no right to try and
touch Ace Spade.
[Ace Spade rolls into the ring and immediately goes over to Insane
Wayne and shoves the title belt right up to his face. Wayne knocks
the belt out of his hands and connects with a big right hand. Charles
Galliant calls for the bell and the match is officially underway.]
Sully: What a cheat that Insane Wayne is!
This match should be over before it's even begun. By all rights Wayne
should be disqualified.
JP: Well referee Charles Galliant doesn't
see it that way to shut up and call the match.
[Ace Spade pops back up but get knocked straight back down with
another big right. Again Spade gets to his feet, a little less
quickly this time, and Wayne connects with a forceful clothesline
which has Ace Spade doing a 360 in the air before crumpling to the
mat. "The Player" rolls out of the ring to gather his thoughts but he
is met by Iniquity who throws him straight back into the ring.]
Sully: This is scandalous, it's an outrage!
Everyone is against Ace Spade, even the referee isn't doing anything
about this blatant cheating!
JP: He's getting his just deserts Sully.
He's had this coming to him.
[Spade crawls around the ring on his knees until Insane Wayne
comes crashing down on the back of his neck with a legdrop. The MWF
World Champion rolls around the ring clutching his face, Wayne bends
down and picks Ace Spade by his neck. "The Hardcore Living Legend"
thrusts Ace Spade between his legs and motions for a powerbomb. Wayne
flips Spade up and hits a devastating "Circular Hell" powerbomb and
follows through for the cover. 1.....2..KICK OUT!]
Sully: You can't beat Ace Spade that
quickly, you have to wear him down first.
JP: As much as I hate to agree with you I
guess I'll have to, Ace Spade has a lot of spark to him. He just
won't stay down.
[Insane Wayne picks up Ace Spade and whips him into the
turnbuckle. Picking up steam Wayne sprints across to Ace Spade and
hits a high-impact shoulder block to Spade's solar plexus. "The
Player" hobbles around the ring winded before backing right into
Wayne and receives a release German suplex. Wayne grabs Ace Spade's
legs and executes a slingshot into the turnbuckle, with the force
Insane Wayne puts into the move Ace Spade goes flying out of the
ring. The MWF champion staggers to his feet and looks at Wayne before
waving his arms in resignation, Spade begins to walk back up the
entranceway as Charles Galliant counts him out.]
JP: What's Ace Spade doing? The coward, is
walking out of the match!
Sully: So what? It's a non-title match so he
can't lose his belt either way.
[The count is at 5 when Iniquity chases after Ace Spade and drags
his weakened body back to the ring, he throws him back into the ring
at the count of 9. Insane Wayne picks Spade up by his head but is
struck with a crafty finger poke to the eye which has Wayne
momentarily blinded. The crowd jeer Ace Spade as he mocks Wayne by
slapping him in the face. Insane Wayne throws a blind punch which
completely misses allowing Ace Spade to drop him with an ace cutter.
Spade rolls over and hooks the leg. 1....KICK OUT!]
JP: Wayne still has plenty of life left in
him yet, don't worry about that.
Sully: He won't have by the end of this
match...don't worry about that.
["The Hardcore Living Legend" grabs the ropes to help him to his
feet, Ace Spade grabs his head and runs his face along the top rope,
burning his skin against the rubber covering of the rope. When they
get to the end of the rope Spade smashes Wayne's face into the
turnbuckle and then rolls him up into a schoolboy pin while putting
his feet on the second rope. 1.....2...KICK OUT! Ace Spade walks over
to Wayne's upper body and places him in a ghost pin. 1.....2..KICK
OUT! Spade curses the referee, trying to convince him that the count
should have been a pinfall. "The Player" picks Wayne up into a back
suplex but instead of falling back into the move his walks forward
and crotches Wayne on the top rope. Insane Wayne stays precariously
perched on the top rope as Ace Spade violently shakes it until Wayne
finally falls back into the ring. At this point every man in the
arena is wincing.]
Sully: That will bring tears to your eyes in
an awful hurry. It probably wouldn't affect you though JP if the
rumours I've heard about you are true.
JP: What rumours?
Sully: You know, the rumour that you're hung
like a hamster in sub-zero temperatures.
JP: Where on Earth did you hear
that?!
Sully: I have contacts.
[Ace Spade lifts Wayne's legs up and hits a boot right to the
groin, referee Charles Galliant steps in to warn Spade but he is just
pushed aside as "The Player" drops a leaping elbow drop. Ace Spade
picks lifts up Insane Wayne's legs again and this time he drops a leg
right into Wayne's groin. Ace Spade drops to the floor on his butt
and places his feet between Wayne's legs, using his leg power he
begins to push Wayne's legs apart, stretching his groin region.]
JP: It isn't pretty but this is a legitimate
submission hold and a very painful one at that.
[Now Wayne is practically doing the splits thanks to Spade's
unorthodox submission move, Insane Wayne is also gasping in extreme
pain. Charles Galliant asks "The Hardcore Living Legend" is he quits
but Wayne resolutely shakes his head. The crowd begin to chant for
Wayne, hoping that somehow their encourage can spur him on. Insane
Wayne begins to scoot backwards, slowly but surely he eventually
reaches the rope and grasps it with both hands making Ace Spade break
the hold. Ace Spade picks Wayne up and hits a Manhattan drop which
has Wayne hoping around the ring holding his groin before being hit
down with a bulldog. Ace Spade lies down with his back on Wayne's
chest and goes for the cover. 1.....2....KICK OUT!]
JP: Close fall there but Wayne just managed
to pop his shoulder up in the nick time.
Sully: The what of time?
JP: Nick of time.
Sully: Nick?
JP: Yes, nick.
Sully: Sorry, I don't know him.
[Ace Spade seems agitated that he can't get the decisive pin on
his foe. He begins to connect with some violent kicks to Wayne's rib
cage. Spade picks Wayne up and delivers three consecutive rib
breakers before dropping him like a bad habit. While Charles Galliant
checks on Insane Wayne, Ace Spade is over in the corner undoing the
turnbuckle padding. With the steel turnbuckle exposed Spade drags
Wayne up and attempts to whip him into turnbuckle but Wayne doesn't
budge. Wayne reverses it and whips Ace Spade into the exposed steel
turnbuckle, "The Player" lets out a screech of pain. Insane Wayne
goes to the opposite side of the ring and charges at Spade going for
a splash, however Ace Spade ducks down and Wayne goes flying chest
first into the cold, steel turnbuckle. As Wayne rolls around in the
ring holding his chest there is a large red mark left from the impact
on the buckle.]
JP: Referee Charles Galliant didn't see Ace
Spade fiddle with the turnbuckle so I guess he can't disqualify
him.
Sully: He wouldn't dare disqualify Spade, he
fears his wrath. He all know what a short fuse he has. No-one wants
to be on the end of that explosion! Hey, you know all about his
temper personally don't you JP?
JP: Yes I do. Earlier this week Spade
threatened to physically assault me and then he scared me right off
the stage into the fans. Thank God they caught me.
Sully: (Full of sarcasm) Yes, Thank God. The
MWF couldn't last five minutes without you JP, you're a rock.
[Ace Spade stalks Insane Wayne, waiting for him to get up. With
little strength left "The Hardcore Living Legend" stands up but
straight away he's locked into an abdominal stretch. Somehow Wayne
manages to reverse the hold into a hip toss which gets a sizeable
cheer from the crowd. Not to be deterred Ace Spade gets right back up
and puts Wayne in a rear hiplock. Insane Wayne's body begins to sag
and Spade takes the opportunity to successfully place him in an
abdominal stretch. Ace Spade cinches in the submission hold and
shouts into Wayne's ear that he might as well quit. Insane Wayne
tries to break the hold but Spade makes sure he can't escape. With
referee Charles Galliant concentrating on whether Wayne will decide
to quit or not, Spade takes the chance to use the top rope to add
more leverage to the hold. Iniquity jumps up on the apron and yells
at the referee, trying to inform him about Ace Spade's cheating but
Charles Galliant only tells Iniquity to get down or he'll have to
eject him. Meanwhile Spade has released one of Wayne's arms and it
machine gunning forearms into Wayne's rib cage. When the referee gets
back into position Spade puts a full abdominal stretch back on. The
life-force of Wayne is seeping away and Charles Galliant raises his
arm but it droops back down. Again the referee lifts Wayne's arm up
and again it flops back down.]
JP: If Wayne's arm drops one more time then
he will lose by submission.
Sully: It's when his arm drops, not if!
[Ace Spade viciously tightens the hold and Insane Wayne's arm is
raised for one last time. It begins to drop down and Charles Galliant
looks ready to call for the bell but at the last split second Wayne
raises his arm and then quickly buries it into Spade's gut. A second
elbow into the gut, followed by a third and the hold is released. The
crowd are going wild for Wayne as he unloads lefts and rights and
then whips Spade into the ropes. Ace Spade comes bounding off the
ropes and ducks under an attempted clothesline from Insane Wayne, he
runs off the other side of the ropes but this time Wayne catches him
by the throat. "The Hardcore Living Legend" picks Spade up by the
throat and hits his "Hells Bells" chokeslam. The fans are on their
feet cheering for Wayne who hooks the leg and goes for cover.]
JP: This is going to be it. Wayne has
won!
Sully: NO!
[Charles Galliant slides down to make the cover. 1.....2....KICK
OUT!]
Sully: YES!
JP: Good God! Ace Spade got his shoulder up
at the very last moment.
Sully: What a champion!
[Insane Wayne has a distraught look on his face, he can't believe
that Ace Spade managed to kick out. For several seconds Wayne lies on
his side with his mouth wide open until he powers up to his feet.
Wayne slides out of the ring and talks with Iniquity while Spade lies
in the middle of the ring, semi-unconscious. Iniquity nods at Wayne
who retreats back to the timekeeper's table. Iniquity jumps on the
apron and distracts Charles Galliant while Wayne wrestles the MWF
World title belt away from the timekeeper. Insane Wayne slides into
the ring with the championship gold in his hand and stalks behind Ace
Spade. With Charles Galliant still distracted Spade gets to his feet.
"The Hardcore Living Legend" runs with the belt at Ace Spade but
Spade manages to move to the side, Wayne turns around for a second
shot but gets a kick to the gut which makes him drop the belt. Ace
Spade grabs Wayne by the head and connects with The Royal Flush onto
the title! Spade picks up the title and slides it out of the ring
before making the cover. Charles Galliant turns around to see the
cover and slides in to make the count.]
JP: No, don't let it end like this!
Sully: Wayne brought this on himself, he was
the one he brought the belt into the ring.
[The crowd are all on the edge of their seats as Galliant begins
the count. 1.....2.....3! Ace Spade punches his fists makes his way
into the ring.]
Peter Santos: Your winner by way of pinfall, "The Player" Ace
Spade!
[Ace Spade grabs the belt from outside the ring and holds it aloft
in the middle of the ring, over the laid-out body of Insane Wayne.
Iniquity slides into the ring to make sure Spade does no more damage
after the match. "The Player" Ace Spade rolls out of the ring and
celebrates with his MWF World title at the front of the entrance
ramp. From out of the back referee Chad Pattison runs down and
confronts head referee Charles Galliant. The pair engage in an
animated conversation until Pattison leaves the ring and heads to the
back. Galliant goes over to Peter Santos and whispers something into
his ear, Santos steps forward into the middle of the ring and speaks
into his microphone.]
Peter Santos: Head referee Charles Galliant has informed me
that after a conference with Chad Pattison he has discovered that Ace
Spade used a foreign object to win the match. Taking into
consideration that it was Insane Wayne who introduced the foreign
object into the ring, Charles Galliant has decided that this match
must continue!
Sully: No! Ace Spade has this match won. You
can't just change the outcome of a match like that!
JP: Charles Galliant is well within his
rights to continue the match.
[Ace Spade throws his arms in the air in dismay before rolling
back into the ring. Charles Galliant herds Iniquity out of the
squared circle as Ace Spade goes to the top turnbuckle. Spade jumps
from the top but Wayne manages to get his knees up to block the
splash. Ace Spade lets out an audible gasp as the air escape his
body, Insane Wayne starts to scramble to his feet. Both men get up at
about to same time and it's Ace Spade who throws the first punch but
he misses. Insane Wayne connects with a kick to the gut and hits a
modified spiral DDT on Ace Spade.]
JP: That's The Royal Flush! Wayne has used
Ace Spade's own finishing move on him!
Sully: That should be a disqualification!
How dare he use the MWF World champions finishing moves, that's
against the rules surely?
[Insane Wayne flops his arm over Ace Spade and Charles Galliant
counts the cover. 1.....2.....3!]
JP: Insane Wayne has down it! He's beaten
Ace Spade!
Peter Santos: Your winner by way of pinfall, Insane Wayne!
Sully: No, no, NO! That's unfair, this
entire match was weighted against Ace Spade. he had this match won
1,2,3 then the referee changes his mind, has the match restarted and
allows that miserable erk Wayne to use Spade's finisher. It's
scandalous, there's no justice in MWF, no justice at all. As far as
I'm concerned Ace Spade won this match.
JP: Well it will go down in the record books
as a clean victory for Insane Wayne.
Sully: It wasn't, it was a cheap
victory....using his numbers to help him win.
JP: Ace Spade's face when they announced he
hadn't won was a classic, I'll never forget to look of fear in his
eyes because he knew from that moment that he was going to
lose.
Sully: He shouldn't of lost, a man of his
brilliant wrestling ability should not be losing to the likes of
Insane Wayne.
JP: You're just biased because you don't
like "Twisted Vizion" and Insane Wayne is a member of that
stable.
Sully: I don't like them because they rob
honest men of honest victories!
JP: Ace Spade was just a little too obvious
about his cheating ways tonight and he had to pay for it in the best
way possible...perhaps now he'll take his threats seriously.
Sully: It is still a step too far for Insane
Wayne...
JP: I think Wayne will be seeing Ace Spade
at A Step Too Far for a repeat of this match and this time it'll be
even more personal and it will also be for the MWF World Heavyweight
Championship.
Sully: The biggest prize in the game, but
"The Player" won't be letting Insane Wayne do the playing.
JP: He'll have to now, Ace Spade's game has
suddenly become multi-player.
Sully: That's all for tonight, join us next
week where we know Jay T will be defending the MWF Xtreme
Championship against Carnage.
JP: I fear for Jay T's life on that
one....
Sully: And Troy Knight will be taking on
Wildfire, with the MWF Television Championship at stake.
