The Jeopardizer versus Wildfire, Singles Match
for a shot at MWF TV Title
JP: Jay-Z is back in the ring, again!
Sully: Wahey! I'm looking forward to seeing
Wildfire beat his sorry ass all around the arena.
JP: That isn't going to happen, not even in
your dreams Sully.
Sully: I bet it will, you see, Jay-Z is on
the crest of a wave and eventually that wave has to hit the shore and
Wildfire is that shore.
JP: Look at you, getting
metaphorical!
Sully: Well I did study English in my
youth...
Peter Santos: This match is scheduled for one fall, and is for
a shot at the MWF TV Title! Making his way to the ring, weighing in
at 215 lbs., from Toronto, Canada, he holds one half of the MWF Tag
Team Titles, accompanied by Sam King, The Jeopardizer!
[The crowd erupt as "Enter The Jeopardy" hits the PA system and
Jay-Z leaps from behind the curtain and taunts to the fans. Sam King
strolls behind his partner.]
JP: Such a showman, he is a future star for
this company.
Sully: That is if they can hang onto him,
this business is a cruel world...and if someone impresses then it is
not long before a bigger company comes knocking.
JP: And they'll find no answer when it comes
to Jay-Z.
Sully: I have to say he is pretty damn MWF
to the bone.
JP: At least he and Sam King made
up...finally!
Sully: Someone didn't see it coming, did
they JP?
Peter Santos: And the opponent, he weighs in at 210 lbs. and
stands at 5'8", Wildfire!
[Wildfire appears in the entrance way and catches a huge jeer from
the crowd, 'YOU SUCK' chants echo around the arena and the camera
focus' on a sign stating 'Sane Had Your Ass!'.]
JP: Haha! That sign couldn't be more true,
Wildfire has shown about as much potential as a couch potato these
past few weeks.
Sully: He still has time, and I think he is
a great competitor.
JP: He may well be...but he hasn't shown it
yet.
Sully: Time will tell JP.
JP: Anyway, Jay-Z will destroy him
tonight.
[Wildfire is in the ring, Jay-Z pumps the crowd up and Sam King
starts a hand-clap as Wildfire shakes hands with the referee and
referee Grant August checks Wildfire, he signals and the bell sounds.
Wildfire comes charging out of the blocks and looks for a clothesline
on Jay-Z, but The Jeopardizer is awake and he grabs the arm of
Wildfire and leaps forward, slamming the arm of Wildfire down to the
mat. Wildfire clutches his arm and rolls towards the ropes. Jay-Z
grabs Wildfire by the hair and drags him away from the ropes, the
crowd roar as Jay-Z lifts up Wilfire and looks for a suplex. Wildfire
is hoisted up in the air and Jay-Z holds him there, the crowd
cheering madly as finally Jay-Z brings Wildfire crashing down to the
ground.]
Sully: That was quite a show of strength,
but I think Wildfire is just tired.
JP: Tired!? Sully, The Jeopardizer fought in
two matches on Dynamite before!
[The Jeopardizer continues his momentum by leaping up onto the top
rope...the cameras flash as Wildfire lays flat and Jay-Z takes off
and hits a moonsault onto his opponent, Wildfire's body shakes wildly
and Jay-Z has him covered...1...2! Wildfire manages to roll the
shoulder just in time.]
Sully: It is far too early for a cover like
that, what is Wildfire playing at?
JP: He just simply isn't good enough.
[Jay-Z leaps to his feet and he listens as the crowd chant
'Jay-Z...Jay-Z...Jay-Z' a long and slow chant which builds in sound.
The Jeopardizer responds by dragging Wildfire over to the turnbuckle,
Jay-Z lifts him up and places him on the top rope, Wildfire looks to
fight back but Jay-Z sends an uppercut flying into Wildfire's chin
and the resistance is finished. Wildfire has fear in his eyes as
Jay-Z sets him up and the crowd roar as Jay-Z superplexes Wildfire
from the top rope!]
JP: What a move!
Sully: The ring is on its last hinges, wish
we'd stayed in Ohio, the rings are so much better.
JP: Now all Jay-Z needs to do is get the
cover....
[The Jeopardizer recovers his position and covers Wildfire, Gant
August counts...1...2..! To the boos and jeers of the crowd then
Wildfire manages to roll his shoulder. Jay-Z in annoyance covers
again....1....2...! Wildfire again rolls the shoulder. The
Jeopardizer gets to his feet and whips up the crowd with a taunt, he
grabs Wildfire and again hauls him to his feet, the crowd roar as
Jay-Z shoves Wildfire between his legs, he lifts Wildfire up and
brings him crashing down in a powerbomb....but Jay-Z isn't finished
and he keeps hold and lifts up for a second powerbomb, Wildfire comes
down and the Double Jeopardy is finished...Jay-Z has Wildfire
covered...Grant August counts....1....2...! Wildfire breaks free of
the cover. Sam King shouts encouragement from ringside.]
Sully: You have to give Wildfire points for
resistance.
JP: Has he even done a move yet?
Sully: Um, at the beginning?
JP: The Jeopardizer is dominating this
match.
[Jay-Z looks at Grant August who signals that it was a two count.
Wildfire meanwhile has slowly got to his feet...Jay-Z turns round and
Wildfire is up, Jay-Z in disbelief can't move as Wildfire fires up
some right hands and sends them into the skull of Jay-Z. Jay-Z is
sent reeling back towards the ropes and Wildfire grabs Jay-Z and
whips him towards the turnbuckle, Jay-Z thuds face first into the
turnbuckle and onto the mat. Wildfire runs to the ropes and comes
flipping back off them to land a moonsault onto Jay-Z, he
covers...1...! Jay-Z rolls the shoulder.]
Sully: See, he's coming back, Wildfire is
actually going to make the comeback.
JP: I wouldn't be so sure about that!
Sully: Oh yeah?
JP: Jay-Z is back up!
[Jay-Z is back on his feet and is sent tumbling by an arm drag,
Wildfire taunts to the crowd who respond with jeers and Jay-Z gets
back to his feet and sends a chop into the chest of Wildfire who
doesn't even feel it, Jay-Z looks worried and he grabs Wildfire,
locking in a headlock....but Wildfire fights it and lifts back,
tipping Jay-Z up and sending him crashing with a huge backdrop. The
crowd boo as Wildfire climbs back to his feet and looks at the
turnbuckle, Wildfire runs to the turnbuckle and leaps up onto it,
Jay-Z is still down and Wildfire goes for a leg drop....but the MWF
Tag Team Champion rolls out of the way at the last second and
Wildfire executes a great leg drop onto the canvas.]
Sully: So close! Jay-Z wouldn't have
comeback from a move like that.
JP: I bet he would have.
Sully: I bet he wouldn't.
[Jay-Z and Wildfire are both down, Wildfire clutching his leg, and
Grant August signals the count....1....2....3....4....5....6...7...
Wildfire manages to stir and clambers to the ropes and begins to haul
himself up...8....9...Jay-Z is still down and showing no sign of
movement....10!]
JP: Wildfire has done it! He's going to face
Justin Sane next week!
Peter Santos: And your winner, through ten count, Wildfire!
Sully: Wildfire completed his comeback, he
had Jay-Z on the rocks there.
JP: Rubbish! Jay-Z was the clear winner all
the way there.
Sully: Nah, he wasn't, Wildfire has the
talent to go far in this federation and he really showed it
there.
JP: Here comes trouble...
["As Soon As I Get Home" hits the PA system, and Justin Sane
appears in the entrance way. A mike in his hands and the MWF TV Title
on his shoulder. He looks around the small arena and stares into the
ring at the new challenger to his title, Wildfire.]
Sully: Justin Sane, what a crap
Champion!
JP: Crap? This man has been through so much
to even claim a few wins in the MWF and you call him crap!
Sully: Yep.
JP: You heartless bastard.
[Justin Sane raises the mike to his lips and the crowd are
hushed.]
Sane: So I look upon my next
challenge....they all seem to fall before me and merge into one, Jakk
Hollow, Wildfire....who next? Wildfire again! The young man with such
a future ahead of him, well your future begins and ends right here
with me!
[The crowd roar and cheer for Justin Sane, Wildfire stands in the
ring watching him.]
Sane: You might be impressing some people
with all your cheap thrills and spills, but I promise you, I promise
that it will be nothing compared to next Monday when I expose
you....When I expose you as the poor wrestler that you really
are.
JP: Go Justin!
Sully: Poor? How can he call Wildfire a poor
wrestler?
Sane: We'll settle this next week, Wildfire,
sleep easy for now.
["As Soon As I Get Home" hits again and the MWF TV Champion raises
his arms to the crowd and walks off backstage. Wildfire is standing
in the ring, the jeers of the crowd focusing on him, Jay-Z has got to
his feet and the crowd let off a huge roar as Jay-Z runs behind
Wildfire and smashes him round the back of the head. Wildfire falls
to the mat and Jay-Z continues to stomp on the back of Wildfire,
cursing and swearing. Referee Grant August drags Jay-Z off Wildfire
and waves his finger at him and roars at him to calm down, Jay-Z
turns and slides out of the ring.]
JP: Whoah! Jay-Z going crazy!
Sully: He sure was!
[The camera cuts backstage, to a corridor to be more precise. It's
not at all the cleanest of corridors and posters from former
performers there such as "The Blues Brothers" are still plastered,
albeit diminished, on the wall. The flooring is nothing but concrete
covered with a thick layer of chewing gum remnants. The heavy clods
of footsteps can be heard walking down the hallway and as the camera
pans up there is the number one contender to Ross Allen...Insane
Wayne.]
Sully: There he is JP! We're looking at the
next MWF World champion!
JP: I'm sure that Ross Allen will be more
than a match for him tonight.
Sully: I think we all remember the last
match that the pair had. Insane Wayne won that match fair and square
and without the use of Agent Rhodes.
JP: Fair and square? As Ross Allen said this
week he received an illegal eye rake and was slammed through our
table! If you ask me Wayne is nothing but a damned dirty dog.
Sully: It's a good job no-one is asking you
then because if Wayne heard that he'd knock your damn block
off!
[The camera cuts to a side-view of the corridor (giving a better
view of The Blues Brothers poster which shows a picture of a man that
looks a lot like Agent Rhodes)and coming from the opposite side to
Insane Wayne is Mark Rose.]
Sully: Wow, two of MWF's best talents in one
corridor. It's pretty hard to pick which of these two is the best,
Ross Allen perceives them both to be a threat to his title.
Especially after Mark Rose's impressive debut victory in that triple
threat earlier tonight.
JP: Yes, he certainly lived up to his
hype.
[As both men take purposeful steps towards each other their eyes
make contact. The gap between them gets closer and closer. Finally,
at the same point and exact same time, they both stop in their tracks
and stare each other from head to toe. Mark makes the first move as
he takes a small step back.]
Mark Rose: Allen is beatable...remember that
and you shall succeed. Also you might consider wearing a protective
cup. It's for your own good.
[Insane Wayne raises a wry smile and nods his head in
appreciation. The men both pat each other on the shoulder before
heading their separate ways.]
JP: A show of respect their from two great
athletes.
Sully: I think you should shut your hole JP.
It's for your own good!
JP: Allen is going to have his work cut out
tonight, but he can rise to the challenge.
Sully: Pah! Insane Wayne could beat Allen
with one hand tied behind his back, I mean Insane Wayne held a title
more prestigous than the MWF World Title.
JP: What was that?
Sully: The UWF World Title!
JP: Sully, I can't believe you just said
that, you could get sacked for those words.
Sully: What do I care?
JP: Your wife would, you rely on the money
from your contract.
