Hello Everyone. Please, if you have any humanity within you, DO NOT SKIP THIS. As many of you know, my name is Asia, I’m 14 years old, and I love to write. There is, however, something none of you know; my Mother is very ill. Her name is Deborah, and she has epilepsy and frequent seizures. The Tormont Webster’s Illustrated Encyclopedic Dictionary, explains epilepsy as “Any various disorders characterized by sudden reoccurring attacks of motor, sensory, or physic malfunction with or without unconsciousness or convulsive movement.” I can tell you right now that if the above definition seams bad to you, it is nothing. I have watched my mother many times as she is suddenly taken by this demonic disease shaking and moaning while I sit next to her, holding her hand and sending up prayers to God, completely helpless to her, the woman that would, and has, done everything for me and more. I can only watch as my mother fights her battle against her body. I can only stare, through clouded eyes as my tears stream down my face while her eyes roll back and her mouth opens in silent moans of anguish. So many times have I prayed, begged for her curse to be placed upon me so that she might live happily, peacefully; so many times have I wanted to die knowing that this could never be. I have never before gone into such detail with anyone, not even my family, about what I see and how I feel about Momma’s illness; I suppose it is easier for me to type it, without having to care about the way people see my pale face and grieving eyes. I am able to express in detail through a keyboard what I have never bean able to express with my voice. I have always thought it a weakness to complain or cry over what can’t be changed. After all, there are many others who’s lives are far worse off than mine. My mother has got to be one of the most angelic and wonderful people on the face of the planet. Because of this, it terrifies me to think that at anytime I might lose this wonderful creature that the Lord has blessed me with being near. I understand, more so I believe, how precious life is, and how petty the little problems are compared to the big ones. My mother too, understands this delicate thread of being. A quote comes to mind that runs through my head often, “In a world where ignorance is bliss, it does not pay to be wise.” I feel this way sometimes, and the very thought frightens me. What if my mother wasn’t ill? Would I not understand all that I do now? Therefore I come to you, asking not of pity and begging not for money, but of knowledge and prayers. Please, if you have any information on epilepsy, will you e-mail me at UsagiAsiaMaxwell@hotmail.com? Even if I do not receive what I have asked for, I hope that those who read this will walk away with a greater knowledge, understanding, and compassion for humanity than they had before they read it. And so, before I leave you to go on with your normal lives, I ask that you take heed to this word of advice; keep your family close to you, and never forget the blessings you have received, for there is no greater curse than ignorance and no greater blessing than love. Sincerely Yours, Asia Gormley AKA Usagi Asia Maxwell ~~~~~~ Thank you for taking your time to read the above. On a more light note, Hi! I hope I didn’t depress anyone, I don’t like to make people sad so I’m sorry if I did. Aino, I don’t really have much more to say, I’m surprisingly dull minded now, so let’s just go on with the ficcy, ne? ~~~~~~ Oops! you need ages ne? G-boys (doncha’ just love that name?)- 19 (cept T-chan, he’s 20) Relena and Usagi- 18. Other characters, if I told you now, it wouldn’t be a surprise! You’ll know soon enough. ~~~~~~ Disclaimer- I do not own Sailor Moon or Gundam Wing. (OI! My Mom’s awake and feeling a lot better now! YAY!!!!!!!!) ~~~~~~ recap- Usagi’s small speech ended as a muffled voice made it’s way to Relena’s ears from Usagi’s phone. “yes...,” Usagi said to the voice, “ *sigh* all right......... yeah...... just a minute.” A pause, “Eh Lena? I don’t have much more time. I’ve got to buy some stuff for my trip and we’ll need to leave soon to get it all done. Here’s what you need to know, We’ll be arriving at Sank National at about two PM at terminal 3. Got that?” Usagi said. “Hai,” Relena sighed disappointed that there conversation was stopped so short. She hadn’t heard from her in so long... Relena’s voice betrayed her thoughts when it came out very similar to a pouting child’s, “I’ll be there to great you then..., I’m going to bring some friends though. I’m sure they’ll want to meet you,” She grinned. ‘Especially Duo’ she mused mentally, an image of the almost constantly sugar high boy in her mind. What would he do when he saw her? “K,” Usagi agreed, “But make sure that no reporters are there. Last time it leaked out that I was coming ,and the press was everywhere.” Relena laughed nervously, “Hai.... demo that secretary is long gone ,and I know I can trust Sarah.” “Ok then, “Usagi agreed, “I have to go now, but I’ll see you soon! Ja ne!” “Ja ne.” Relena said. A click was heard on Usagi’s end, and Relena hung up as well. She bit her lip to keep herself from screaming in excitement; she didn’t need fifty security guards rushing into her office. It was bad enough that two were stationed at her door. But still, she couldn’t help how she felt. After all, her favorite cousin was coming for a visit! ~~~~~~ Voices of the Soul- Chapter One By Usagi Asia Maxwell ~~~~~~ A young woman was making her way through a docking station, somehow managing to drag five men behind her. She paused a moment and pulled a small peice of paper from her pocket. Her eyes skimmed over it and she began muttering to herself, “Two PM at terminal three.......” Glancing at her watch, she noted the time- 2:05. She shoved the piece of paper back into her pocket and glanced around. Terminal five..... Terminal four...... Terminal two....... Aha! Terminal three! She had found it! But there was no shuttle outside of the large bay window! She quickly made her way to the information desk in front of the terminal. Luckily, there was no line. “Excuse me,” she said. The person sitting behind the desk, a woman who looked to be in her mid forties with short brown hair and large black eyes that had previously been doing paperwork looked up, “May I help you miss?” Relena smiled in gratitude, “What time will the shuttle be here? I was told it would come at two.” The woman glanced at a clock sitting in front of her, “Why it’s only 2:06 dear! *a small chuckle* They had some engine trouble before take-off and were delayed a few minutes. I’d say they should be here in about ten minutes. Why don’t you go take a seat.” Relena nodded at the woman. She released her male captives and went in search for a seat in the somewhat crowded waiting room. Duo sighed in relief when Relena finally released her grip on his braid. She had bean dragging the poor boy throughout the entire ,very LARGE, building all the while telling him of her wonderful cousin whom she hadn’t seen in two years. It wasn’t that he actually HATED the pacifist princess, but she could be slightly....... annoying. He really didn’t know what he would do if he were suddenly thrown into a situation where two of them were constantly around him and his comrades. After all, he wouldn’t be able to avoid them, he had to protect Relena along with his four partners in crime-er...... heh..... justice() and by the way things were going, he doubted weather this relative would leave Relena’s side for a moment. Duo side glanced at Relena, she had a firm grip on Hiiro’s arm and was talking quietly with the boy with a surprisingly menacing face. He did a double take. What the.....? He smirked, apparently this trip was starting to get to Relena. She released Hiiro, and quite suddenly he found her cold eyes turned on him as she beckoned him to her. She put on a fake smile as he hesitated and urged him on. Slowly, and quite frightened, Duo made his way too her. Once he was close enough Relena grabbed a fistful of the front of his shirt and pulled Duo dangerously close to her face so that he was at her eye level. She glared at him. ‘Geez....... she’s bean spending waaaaaayyyyy to much time around Hiiro....’ He sweatdropped, “eh..... is there a problem Relena?” She frowned, “Duo, I don’t want you hitting on my cousin when she gets here. Got me?” (very ooc, but I had to do it ^_^()) He tried not to blanch at the thought, “Trust me Relena, I would never dream of hitting on your cousin......... ever.” (heh heh..... oh.... I’m having soooooo much fun with this ,people!) Relena nodded in approval and he quickly backed away from the princess. ‘that was....... odd.......’ he thought, his face still showing traces of fear. ~~~~~~~ Hirro relaxed as Relena let go of his hand after talking to a woman behind a desk. She sat down in a chair, and then almost as an after-thought she got up, grabbed his arm, and dragged her with him. “Hiiro,” she said firmly, “I swear I’ll kill you if you pull a gun on my cousin.” Hiiro rose his eyebrows slightly at this unexpected outburst. It was actually quite funny. He never imagined being threatened by Relena. He grunted in response. Apparently she took that as an agreement and released him. He watched silently as she called a terrified looking Duo over her and began lecturing him. He smirked slightly, ‘let her’ He glanced up. Duo was now free and Wufei was frowning down on her as she spoke. ~~~~~~~ Relena nodded to herself in satisfaction as she released Duo. It seamed as though she had gotten through to him. She still had work to do however. She wanted to make her cousin’s arrival a pleasant one. “Wufei,” she called out calmly. The Chinese boy turned to her before walking up to her. “What is it ,onna?” he said frowning. She glared at him, “I don’t want you to upset my cousin. I haven’t seen her in a long time and I don’t want you to make her leave. Understood?” Wufei rolled his eyes at her, “Woman! You called me over here for that? As long as you keep your d*mned relatives away from me, I won’t chop them into tiny peices.” (that was the dumbest thing I have ever typed. I couldn’t think of anything for him) With that he stalked of muttering about the injustices of odd weak onna. Relena sighed. That hadn’t gone as well as she’d hoped. At least she got it over with. She had talked to Hiiro, Duo and Wufei. Trowa was too quiet to do any harm, and Quatre wouldn’t be a problem in the slightest. She looked out of the window as a low rumble met her ears. The plane! She let out an exited squeal as passengers started exiting it and entering the room she was in. The entire room seamed to shuffle as everyone stood up to great their friends family and business associates. That wasn’t fair! They were blocking her view! Quickly she rose to her tip-toes (tee-hee! tippy-toesies!) for a better view. She growled in frustration when she couldn’t see her guest. “Ms. Relena?” the ever politely helpful Quatre called, “Maybe if you told us what she looked like, we could help you find her.” Not taking her eyes away from her search for a moment Relena replied, “Blond hair and blue eyes.” Duo snorted. “That’s very helpful,” he muttered. He looked around. ‘One little two little three little blond girls,’ he sang in his head silently counting, ‘four little five little six little blond girls, seven little eight little nine little blond girls, hey...... that’s not a girl...... ewwwww.......’ He blanched. Oh well, he’d just have to make due. He began pointing blondes out to Relena. “Is that her?” “Hmmm? uh- no.” “Is that her?” “too tall” “Is that her?” “That woman’s fifty!” “What about her?” “She’s five ,Duo....()” “Ok........ What about her?” “THAT’S A MAN!” Duo looked closely at him. “Really? hmmm....... him too huh?” he said thinking about the first crossdresser he had seen that day. He tsked, “What IS this world coming to.....” Relena turned and glared at him. “Duo.....,” she said warningly. He laughed innocently and backed away from the angry princess. She began slowly stalking after him when a voice called out to her, “Lena-chan!” Duo looked up to see a blond woman about his age in a white baby-t, black pants, and a black duster and sunglasses ,waving at Relena. “Usagi!” Relena called excitedly. Usagi laughed and enveloped her in a hug. “Ah! Lena, it’s been too long!” ~~~~~~ Ok! I’m stopping here today.
