| This is the fourth in a series of songfics I�ve written, and I don�t know how many more there will be. Disclaimer: I don�t own any Gundam stuff in any way shape or form. OOC SHAME IN YOU When I awaken And I'm achin' Time for sleepin', yeah When I'm sayin' Time to go and I've been hurtin', yeah When I'm layin' I'm still trying Concentrating on dyin', yeah Zechs looked at the still form that lay beside him on the bed. She looked so peaceful asleep. It was amazing she had found him after no one else had.. and he wished she hadn�t. Pulling his shirt back over his head, he bit his lip as he thought of Treize. �I can�t believe I just let his happen.� He whispered, forcing down the lump in his throat. Putting the slightly worn gold band back on his ring finger, he finished dressing and sat on the floor. It would be easier to kill himself now.. rather than face his husband with what he had just done. You're right as rain But you're wrong to blame Agreed my crime's the same Noin woke up to find her lover sitting on the floor, staring at the wall with a pain that was clearly visible. Shivering, she slid over to put her arms around him, only to be gently pushed away. Hurt blossomed in her eyes and her lower lip began to tremble.. �Zechs..� She whispered, pulling the covers over herself. When he didn�t answer, she slowly got up and started dressing, swearing at the still figure on the floor. �You shouldn�t have let me hope, you heartless bastard. I came across half the known universe to find you, and all you can do is sleep with me? Do I mean so little then? Whoever you�re married to can�t love you like I do. Well I hope you tell your wife that this was all your fault. You could have told me no.� Wiping her tears away with a sleeve she prepared to walk out the door. �Wait.� Zechs stood up and gripped her arms roughly. �You can blame me all you want, I blame myself more.� Releasing her suddenly, he stepped back and folded his arms. �I can�t say I didn�t want this to happen, and I didn�t say no. But this is as much your fault as mine. I told you I was married.� My sins I'll claim Give you back shed pain Go find a place for own shame So you can deal with this thing unreal No one made you feel any hurt, yeah Noin reached out and slapped him across the face. �You used to love me.� She accused, forcing the words out through clenched teeth. �You told me you did, held me through the night.. and then you disappeared, to run off with someone else. I would have done anything to get you back, and yes, that�s my fault.� Narrowing her eyes, she turned to walk out the door. �You�re going to have to deal with the fact you let it happen though. I hope she leaves you over this.� Taking off at a run, she didn�t look back. Body's movin' Only provin' No one needs to move Still believin' Yet mistaken All God's children, yeah And I must say I was stupid Selfishly she consumed, yeah Numb, Zechs stumbled out of the room, walking down the street towards the nearest park. Sitting on a white-stained bench, he stared into a puddle on the concrete, trying to find a way to keep his sanity. What he had with Treize� that was worth more than anything else to him, yet he had risked everything in pursuit of a dream. A beautiful dream, but still a dream. Watching a tear hit the ground, he dug his fingers into the flesh of his arms. �She didn�t really care what I wanted.. only what she wanted.� And you must change Patterns all we trained Or n'er regain peace you seek Now you hear me For the things I see Yeah, I believe in inner peace, yeah �I have to tell him�..� Forcing himself up, he stumbled towards their house, straining against the burden of guilt. �If he won�t forgive me�� Shuddering, Zechs felt the tears fall against his face. �I won�t hide from him.. I promised him I�d never mask myself again.� Throw out Blow up Hold in Show fine No signs Grow blind Facing his love across their bedroom, Zechs fell to his knees. �I have to tell you something.� Confessing what he had done was the hardest thing he had even done. Unable to look up from the floor, he finished, waiting for Treize to pass judgement. Fingers carefully traced his jaw. �I still love you. I forgive you.� With a small laugh, Treize pulled his beloved close. �Next time, bring her home to share.� Nuzzling Zechs, he showed no signs of anger or hate, only the blind love he had always shown. Love that saw no wrongs. Curling up in each other�s arms, they held themselves together. |
