| Maxwell Prod began in the lovely rural area of White Salmon, Washington, known as Snowden, in the basement of the Preston Residence down Pearce Rd. Little be-knownst to the small band, they weren't that bad, and decided to actually form a band (rather than just screw around every once in a while.) Soon thereafter, in the summer of 1999, the band got their first chance (don't ya love how I talk in 3rd person?) to play in front of a "real" audience of about 40 people at a birthday party, which has now become known as the "Snowden Music Festival." Maxwell Prod began playing more and more at private parties in the basement, going through several different members (mainly singers) on their long trip to today. Now Prod plays at small locations all over The Gorge and can even be found at such cool places as Northshore and Horsefeathers. The band has been there during the Grange phenomenon, helping to create a teen music meca. Prod had promised for a long time to release some form of recording, and finally released "Perpetual Pubesence in July 2001 (purchase on "songs" page) with some of the old-school Prod tunes on it. As time rolls on, the gig list will keep getting longer, and gorge music will keep getting stronger, and Maxwell Prod will play whenever they are all in the same place at the same time, which doesn't happen very often now that they all are in college in different areas of the northwest. But don't worry, as long as summer comes along, Maxwell Prod will be around the gorge, so keep your eyes and ears open for Maxwell Prod to come to someplace near you! |
