birdhouse - so um the front there with the hole in it, that's poplar. maybe i should have a second picture of this. there's a sorta pseudo-cantilever in effect, where another piece comes off the bottom (horizontal to the ground, towards the wall) and another turning up 90 degrees, where the prongs attach. the prongs are all off a rake i bought at ace hardware. just picture a nest, but with the traditional bottom against the wall. i got to use a grinder. then there's a buncha grass which i filled my satchel with while walking to work one day woven around, and with some tassley pussywillow type things at the end. i called it "eye of the storm" cause it's all like..tornadoey and stuff...and kinda looks like an eye...and there's the calm at the center of the storm...and the house is calm...and stuff..
