| It is the closest planet to the Sun. �ts orbit is ellipse. Because of this its distence to the Sun is changing between 27 million and 41 million km's. A Mercury year takes 88 days and a Mercury day is 59 Earth days. Mercury is the second smallest planet. Its about 3000 miles in diameter. The only smaller planet is Pluton. On Mercury temperature changes very much. Night part of planet can be 0 to 300. But in the day time you can easyly melt ( around 700 F ). Mercury has lots of craters on its surface which made by lots of astroids. |
