This is a project based on the fighting in Russia during the winter of 1942.. The Germans were without proper snow camoflauge and had to make do with what they could scrounge together. In this case, it's a section of bedsheet taken from a Russian farmhouse and the helmet and gear are coated with whitewash paint used to camoflauge the vehicles. All parts are Dragon except the overcoat and jackboots (21C) and the winter white trousers (Cotswold). I painted the helmet and added the SS shield by first printing to label paper then cutting out and applying. Also painted the gasmask cannister as well as weathering the other gear. The gun is from the Rudolph set and the metal ammo rounds are outstanding.
