This is another SS rifleman, here at parade rest.
The basis is "Alfred". He in a unique entry in the MDF catalog; visibly older and wiser looking. He has the appearence of a veteran campaigner and maybe a bit reserved as well. Perhaps due to this combat experience, he has chosen to be lightly equipped....or maybe this is all he could find!

-MDF "Totenkopf" tunic w/ trousers

-MDF "Alfred" oak leaf autumn helmet cover; not that crazy about MDF's attempt at this. The color is a bit too orange and the shape is just a bit off. But I am perhaps a bit too involved with the color and shape of things I suppose...

-standard MDF load bearing harness w/attachments; repaint to gasmask can for camoflauge purpose

-Cotswold zeltbahn attached directly to the Drings of the Ystraps; this was also another common method of keeping the zelt 'high and dry'; on a side note, due to the lighting used during photography the junction ring of the Ystraps cannot be seen in the photo to the right! Odd, yes?....
As we talked about earlier, good ol' Alfred here is leaning on his K98 during a discussion of strategy by Herr von Ramstein. You can use your imagination to wonder what the next few hours and days might bring for Alfred but for now he's taking it easy and resting for the next engagement.
