This is the guy I've nicknamed "smilin' Jack"...for obvious reasons. Naturally this is the "Bobby" fig from MDF who has so unselfishly supplied other troops with his original gear. So to be fair, and since he didn't really have a tank to drive in the first place, I recruited him into the ranks of Der Waffen SS. He is seen here outfitted with the following bits:
-MDF "Heinz" SS field cap

-Modified MDF SS tunic; the sleeve cuffs have been opened as would be the case on the real item. This involved having to remove the cuff title in order to do, and that was a pain! I'll not try that again as it's not worth the frustration of hand sewing the cuff title back on...;)

-Added the Obershutze pip on the left sleeve

-repaint to all 'metal' items as well as the overcoat of worn paint on the rifle grenade pouch. The attempt was to make it look 'used'

-21C US Army trousers which were taken out at the inseam in order to make them more baggy.
