They came. They kicked the crap out of the Water Temple. Some people almost died, but what's new?
Afterward they found a flat metal ring about 2 feet in diameter etched with flames. They had found what they were looking for! After retrieving as much loot as they could they returned to Verbobonc.
After paying for Tennaris to be raised from the dead by the Temple of Elhonna, Eoliar told Grinan that the Fire Ring would be there in a couple days. Grinan seemed disapointed and concerned. But he agreed to wait.
Meanwhile they had the Fire Ring identified. The next day the proprieter of the Runesword Magic Shop told them that it was an artifact and could not be identified. The party agreed it was time to hand it over to Grinan and collect the gold.
On the way Eolair met a good friend, and went inside a building to talk to him with the Fire Ring tied to his back. When he got inside spells were cast to hold him while the artifact was taken! Just before his throat was to be cut the curious party memebers walked through tht building and into the alley. They saw Eolair held by the spell and a man stepping through a magic portal. A fight ensued where one of the clerics destroyed the portal. None got away and Eolair was recued. The men refered to themselves as the Sons of Fire.
Quickly they dragged the bodies into the building and bared the doors when there was a knock at the front door...
