| Max explained the process to Alex2 as Isabel watched them closely. When Max was positive that Alex2 knew what to do, he stepped back and let him take the reins. Alex2 looked at his mother for her silent approval and she granted it with a slight nod of her head. Alex2 nodded back at her nervously. he took a deep breath in and focused as he was taught to do. He placed his tiny hand on Alex's chest and concentrated on making the connection. 3 minutes went by and the two Alex's were in the same position. Unmoving like statues. 8 minutes went by and the adults started getting nervous. Was Alex2 okay? Was Alex okay? 10 minutes passed and finally there was movement from one of the Alex's. Alex2 moved his shaking hand off of Alex's chest. he tried to stand unsuccesfully and his loving uncle was right there for him. Max picked Alex2 up and put him in Liz's arms. Liz was sitting on the armchair cradling him, waiting for when he was ready to tell them what had happened. Isabel held herself as stiff as a board as she watched her son try to gain his energy back. And they waited. Michael burst thru the doors. And ran into the living room where they all were. "What is it Maxwell. What's wrong.???" he pratically yelled in a panic. The minute he got that call he knew something was wrong and he pulled on his clothes and rushed out the door yelling to Maria that he would be at the Evan's. He couldn't have wasted time in explaining to Maria why he just needed to get there as soon as possible. He would explain it to her later. She would understand....right? But standing there seeing the startled faces he was beginning to think that maybe it wasn't as important as he had thought. When no one answered he walked further into the room readying to lay into Max for making him panic like that. Max stood up about to say something and then Michael noticed Alex2 curled up in Liz's arms with his eyes closed. Then he saw Isabel with.... was that a guy on the couch? He spun around to see who it was and nothing could have prepared him for what he saw. Alex Whitman. |
