The malay poetry scene has changed since the Japanese Occupation days. It had broke free from theme which emphasised on patrionism to themes which varies from snide remarks  to love. Greater concern arises when major inspired poetries carry the theme of romance. Its believed to hinder the development of malay literature scene when one is too caught up with one's own world in matters of the heart. Whatever people may comment, I continue to compose poetries with the theme of  this sweet inexpensive feeling call love. Composing poetries is just another avenue for me to express my thoughts and experience. Guided by strong issues which played in the mind and expressed in words using the language of the heart, I penned my poems. My works are usually dated for my personal record on the thoughts I had for the day. In early days, I usually wrote something which can be easily translated. As I grow, I began to change the direction of my composition. My works start to develop its own symbolic vision and meanings, like "Merpati Utusan". Its written through the eye of a third person watching the scene between my mother and late-grandma. For interest sake, the pigeon really existed outside our home then, unmoved for few days and nights. Other then my own composition, I have also included collection of poetries from various well known writers  such as Rahman Shaari, Masuri Salikunand Dr Abdul Latif.  As long as I continue writing, this page will not remain stagnant and liveless. That is the promise.....
