I started playing the piano when i was 6 years old, taking good old formal classical piano lessons. I studied classical piano for the next nine years, then just two short years ago started experimenting with playing by ear and thus leading to the desire to create music of my own.
As far as the singing part goes, i've been singing since i could talk i'm sure, never failing in my childhood to belt at the top of my lungs in the backyard no matter who heard (and complained). Music is definitely my passion, i'm bound to it and don't think i will ever manage to tear myself away. It's my release, my comfort, my joy.
The only thing that stands higherthen music is my religion, I am a Baha'i, and firmly devoted to the beliefs of unity and spirituality. Music definitely ties into my beliefs and my spirit, so in a sense they dwell on the same cherished place in my heart.
My main musical influences are the beautiful Tori Amos(she was the first to rock my world), Fiona Apple, Sarah Mclachlan, Ani Difranco, Alanis Morissette and Sheryl Crow. Those are just the main....
Jessica to me is up there in influences, considering she's my musical counterpart and I deeply admire her devotion and talent with regards to music. I also share with her the deepest musical bond I've experienced so far, and i just adore her ;-)
