The founding members of what has become Maverick Divers are all experienced divers and instructors - all friends and long-standing members from one BSAC branch.
During 1998, a group of us talked about starting a new branch, based on equality, democracy, fairness and to be non-prejudicial to all members.
Autumn 1999 - the positive formation of Maverick Divers, inaugurated in January 2000 and officially made a full BS-AC branch in February 2000.
Our aims are to have fun, go diving in the UK and abroad and promote a good, easy atmosphere. We have succeeded.
