| Chobits is a story following the adventures of Hideki and his persicom, Chii. Hideki is a farmboy who is attending colledge in Tokyo, shrtly after moving into his apartment, he notices that everyone he knows owns a persacom, which is a humanoid computer that can link up to everything from phone calls to the internet. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| On his way home from school one day, mumbling to himself about how much persicom can do and wishing he could afford one, he comes across a persacom sitting amongst a pile of trash. Unable to believe his luck, he takes the unit home to check it out. After turning the unit on, he discovers the the unit is only able to say one word, "CHII" so he in turn names her Chii. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| After talking to his neighbor and his persacom, Sumomo, he realizes that Chii has only an OS and learning software that she can access. Thus begins the long road to teaching her about various things, how to talk, bathe, and buy underpants. After having several of his new-found friends trying to help him find out more about Chii, they find out about a group of persicoms know only as "CHOBITS". | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Through the whole series, you discover many side stories about some of the other characters. I myself was entraced by the series and its look into the possible future of artificial intellegence, and the reactions that some people may have. Not to mention the way that all the stories weave together almost seamlessly with each other. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
