The Tarns Men are a Noble and honorable Fighting force of the Red Caste. Mounted on the large Hawk like Beast of the Skies of Gor. It is Deadly for a Gorean Man to take the first step to becoming a Tarns Men. For with the Blow of the Tarn Whistle there fate will be set. If the Beast dose not see them as fit and dose not cower to the goad then the Man is torn apart by the Great Beast. It is those few that are accepted by the beast. Those that are able to dominate the beast that become the Great Mounted warriors of the Red Caste.
The Tarns Men are well trained with all weapons, But it is most common that the Tarns Men will be seen using Spears and a long Shield, or Bows or Cross bows, They use smaller knifes as well that are hidden rather well in to their saddles or boots, There helmets are slitted over the eyes and have a thin bar that covers the bridge of the nose.
