2003 Dallas White Rock Marathon Pics
Race day arrived, trying to get the weather in my hotel room before the race, all I could get was news of Saddam Hussein's capture.  The weather didn't matter after that.

It was about a mile walk from the Hyatt Regency to the American Airlines Center where the Start and Finish lines were.  At the 8:00 AM start it was about 30 degrees and just a little breezy.  Before the race was complete it would warm to the low 50's.  It turned out to be a sunny day.

It was 8:00 AM, and while the Star Spangled Banner was being sung, there were fireworks.  After the song, 3 fighter jets flew over the start in formation.

It was Awesome, We were Pumped !

Left:  Ed Knouse center.  It was a long run around the lake, and starting around the lake, I could see runners on the far side, probably Kenyan's.  It was a good 10 to 12 miles around the lake.
