Ron Artest; drafted with 16th pick in the 1999 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls from St. John's University. Was selected to the
1999/00 NBA All-Rookie 2nd Team. Was traded by the Bulls along with Ron Mercer, Brad Miller & Kevin Ollie to Indiana for Jalen Rose,
Travis Best, Norman Richardson & a 2nd round draft pick on February 19, 2002. Was named to the 2002/03 NBA All-Defensive 2nd team. In 2003/04
he was named to the All-Defensive 1st team & the All-NBA 3rd team. 2004/05 prooved to be a bad year for Ron - after the infamous "Brawl At Auburn Hills".
Where he had a bottle thrown at him by a detroit fan, which lead to him going into the crowd, a large fight erupted and Ron was suspended for the rest of the
season (75 games). 2005/06 Season started normally enough untill a rumour started that Artest was going to be traded, so he sat out basically forcing
the Pacers to trade him. On January 25, 2006 he was traded to the Sacremento Kings in exchange for Peja Stojakovic. In his time with the kings he took them
from a losing record into the playoffs.
