The next day Stephanie was sitting in the make-up chair waiting for someone to do her make-up. �Come on people, I ain�t gonna be ready in time.� Stephanie laughed to no one. Suddenly someone put their hands over her eyes, and got close to her ear and whispered, �Guess who?� She smiled, �Ha ha, nice try Matt, but I saw you in the mirror.� she laughed, �Blondie.� �Hey! Guys don�t have blonde moments.� he said then kissed her cheek and sat down, �We just have, off moments.� he laughed, as someone finally got there to do their make-up.

After they�re make-up was done, they hung around a little because they weren�t needed on set at the moment. They were just chatting when Stephanie brought up the kiss, �Hey um about yesterday...� �Yeah I was just gonna say...� they both stopped and looked at each other. �Go ahead.� Matt smiled. �No you first.� Steph replied. �You.� he said. �I just was wondering, what�s next? Was that just a friendly kiss, or was it a start to something else or what?� she asked. �Yeah...I was just gonna ask if you...well would you...can we? Yeah.� he laughed. �Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?� she smiled knowing that is what he was doing. He nodded, smiling at her. �The answer is yes.� she said smiling. Then Matt surprised her by giving her a kiss, like a long KISS, kiss. �Whoo!� she said wide eyed after the kiss. �What?� he laughed, as he pushed a piece of her hair behind her ear; he was looking in her eyes, and was close to her face. �Nothing.� she said and gave him a quick peck on the lips. Matt stretched his arms around her, giving her a hug. �Ok guys! Get over here!� Gary yelled.

A few weeks passed, and Danny and Katie were having fun being together all the time. �Stop it! You can�t do that!! How do you cheat at Playstation?� Katie laughed as she pushed Danny. �Ha ha! Like this!� he said doing it again. �Ugh!� she said as he won the game, �I�m thirsty.� she said starting to get up, but turned back around to face him, �Oh you want anyth...� she started but got caught in his eyes. Danny leaned in and kissed her softly. After the kiss Katie looked at Danny for a second, then said, �Um, yeah so do you want anything?� she asked, as if nothing happened; then she got up and went to the kitchen. She was in there fixing her some coke and chips when Danny came in, �Kates, listen...I didn�t mean for it...I mean didn�t mean to...� �Danny. It�s cool.� she said turning around, and walking toward him, �I just want to know what it meant?� she asked, looking at him. �Remember, at the wedding, I had to tell you something; that was it. Kates, I love you! Not just �Sup Kate? Love ya girl!� But I love you! You�ve been my best friend for a long time, and everyday of our friendship I fell more in love with you! And every time I see you I fall in love all over again! I jus...� he was interrupted by Katie kissing him, then she looked at him with tears in her eyes, �I love you too! That is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me! And you know, I�ve felt the same way this whole time!� �Ha ha, really?� he smiled. �Yeah.� she sniffed. Danny leaned in and they started kissing. �Well, well! What have we got here?� Jim asked catching them kissing. They both turned and looked at him. �Jim it wasn�t...I mean we weren�t...� Katie started. �It wasn�t you two kissing?� Jim asked sarcastically. �Well...um...she was choking!� Danny thought up a lame excuse. Katie couldn�t help but snicker, �Actually, we were practicing for the school play, Romeo and Juliet, have you heard of it?� Katie said to Jim. �Yeah I have you little smart ass liar.� Jim yelled. �Hey!� Danny yelled. �Yeah you ain�t gotta get all huffy puffy!� she yelled. �Well all I know is you two are gonna stop all this lovey-dovey crap! It could ruin the marriage! And God knows I can�t afford that!� Jim said as he started out. �Wait! I knew something was fishy when you guys got engaged so soon! You�re just after my mom�s money!� Danny told him. Jim ran up to him and grabbed the collar of Danny�s shirt, �Well we don�t need to tell anyone that do we?� he yelled. Katie was getting scared because she knew when Jim was like this he was dangerous. �Danny.� she cried. �Shut-up!� Jim yelled at her, �Do we Danny?� he whispered. Danny shook his head no. �Ok. Now if I catch you two in this situation again, Katie you know what I�ll do!� he said, �No one is gonna screw up this marriage, especially not two snot face teenagers!� he yelled storming out.

Katie was on the floor crying. �GOD I hate that man!� Danny yelled going over to Katie, �Listen don�t worry about his threats, they�re just bull crap.� �But they�re not Danny!� she sobbed looking at him. �Huh?� he asked confused. �You wanna know what he�ll do? He�ll kill one of us, or both of us!� she buried her face in her knees and sobbed. There was a short silence. �Is that why you�ve been scared all these years?� Danny asked her. She nodded, �He�s killed three people in the two years I�ve lived with him.� �Kates, why didn�t you tell me, or at least someone?� he asked. �Well at first I was scared. I finally told someone, the police, but they thought I was just a messed up little girl, because I lost my parents. And I didn�t tell you because I thought you�d think the same.� she replied. �Oh Katie.� he said pulling her into his arms, �You know I always believe you. We�re telling my mom.� �NO!� Katie yelled getting up, �We can�t! If she doesn�t believe us, he�ll find out! Then he�d kill me for telling, and then probably you because you�d know!� �Come on, as soon as we tell her, we�ll go straight to the police office, he can�t hurt us there.� he said getting up. Katie didn�t say anything, she just followed Danny.

The phone started ringing. �Hello.� Danny answered. �Hi sweetie! I�m gonna be late tonight. I have a very important meeting tonight.� Diane said. �Ok mom. We have to te...� Danny started. �Be sure to tell Jim!� Diane finished. �Ok mom, about him.� Danny told her the whole story about what happened and what Katie had said. �Um, honey, I don�t think that�s true. You guys need to get over the fact of us being married. Well talk about this later, love you , bye.� Diane said as she hung up. �She doesn�t believe us does she?� Katie asked. Danny shook his head, �No. We should go to the police.� �I�ll get my purse.� Katie said as she darted for the stairs. A few minutes later the phone rang again. �Hello.� Danny answered. �Your mom told me what you said. You two brats are in for it.� Jim said and hung up. Danny�s face turned pale as he ran up to Katie�s room, �Kates! Get your duffel! We have to get out of here!� �What?� Katie said confused, but was hurrying to get her duffel bag anyway. �That was Jim! He� knows we told, we have to run away!� he yelled to her from his room where he was grabbing some of his clothes. He came back and stuffed them in the bag. �Why can�t we got to the police?� Katie asked. �We will, but not right now, we have to find evidence first.� he said zipping up the bag and throwing it on his shoulder. They both ran down stairs and got their coats, put them on and went outside. �We�ll take my four wheeler as far as the next county, and ditch it there and walk until we get to the Ohio state police headquarters.� Danny explained as they put on helmets. �But that�s two more counties away!� she exclaimed as she hopped on. �I know.� he said as he drove the four wheeler off. After about thirty minutes driving in the freezing cold, they got to the next county. Danny parked the four wheeler behind a bush and turned to Katie, �We�ve made it this far.� �Yeah, only fifty more long miles away to where we need to be! It�s gonna be hell.� Katie said. �Yeah but it won�t be that bad.� he said. �Yeah right, and why not?� she crossed her arms and looked at him, waiting for an answer. �Because I�ll be with you.� he smiled and went over and kissed her.
