How to Use

Paid-to-Read-Email Programs

Step 1)  Set up a separate email address for your paid-to-read emails.  You will be receiving quite a few emails and you don’t want it to be hard to find your personal stuff amid all the paid stuff.  Otherwise you might miss out on seeing all those pictures of your sister’s cat she sends you J.

You can get a free mailbox from Yahoo or many other sites.

Step 2)  Make sure your Spam Filter is turned OFF.  This is the most common reason why some people try to sign up with these programs but never receive any emails.  You will not be able to receive these emails if your Spam Filter is on.  In Yahoo, go to Mail Options, then Spam Protection and click the link that says turn SpamGuard Off.

Step 3)  Sign up with some Paid-to-Read programs.  There are many more out there than the ones I have listed on my website, these are just my personal favorites.  Enter your new email address on the sign up page of the program you choose, and they will instantly send you a confirmation email back.  Click the link in it and it will take you to a page where you can enter all your information, including the method by which you will be paid.  Some will pay by check, but most pay either by PayPal, eGold, StormPay, or Moneybookers.  I would recommend getting accounts at PayPal and eGold to start with (they’re free).

Step 4)  You will now start getting your paid emails.  Now, you don’t get paid for just opening the email J.  Inside the email there will be at least one paid link.  You have to click on the link to get paid.  It will open (usually in a new window) and it will have a timer in the upper left hand corner of the window telling you how long you have to wait (usually 30 to 60 seconds) before your account will be credited.  If you close the window before the timer runs out you will not be paid.  Paid links look something like this:

A lot of emails you receive will also contain unpaid links amid the paid links, so you might want to be able to tell them apart.  I have noticed that the paid emails always contain /scripts/runner  and a big long number at the end.

Some emails contain only one paid link – this is called a “solo”.  Other emails contain many paid links – this kind is called a “shared”.  Be sure to read through the whole email to make sure you’re not missing any paid links.

Step 5)  Once you start clicking the paid links money will accumulate in your account.  You have to accumulate a certain minimum amount before you get paid.  This is called the “minimum payout”.  Different programs have different minimum payouts.  Some are very high, even up to $200. Some are very low.  I have noticed that the programs with low minimum payouts also pay less per email.  Some programs with low payouts will pay as little as ¼ of a cent per paid link.  Then again, some programs with high minimum payouts will start at 4 or 5 cents per paid link.  So, it’s kind of a trade-off.  You have to choose between low payout, low value emails and high payout high value emails.  Either way, it takes some work to get paid.  Personally, I don’t mind it.  Hope you like it too, and if you have any questions, you can email me at [email protected]
