Air Cadets is a Youth Orginisation which gives young people an opportunity to see what life in the military is like. Although you do not have to enter the armed forces when you are older, Air Cadets prepares you for it and trains you to a standard which enables you to know what life is like in mainl the RAF (Royal Air Force).
It is a wonderful opportunity and enables you to make many friendships which you may not have made outside of the organisation. You are safe in the knowledge that everyone will like what you like and that you will not be left out!
Another great things with the Corps is that you will gain a sense of authority as you rise up through the ranks from corporal to cadet warrant officer.
There will be opportunities to visit RAF stations and learn what happens at the bases. there will be fantastic opportunities to go flying and gliding with trained RAF pilots. What GREAT fun!!!
There are a number of things which you will learn in Air Cadets ranging from flying and gliding to shooting and first aid. There will never be a time when you regret coming; it is an absolutely wonderful opportunity so don't miss out. Find a squadron near you and join! |
