return HOME return to Poem Menu I recently came across Regina Spektor on Google Video, and have fallen in love with her. Her songs are so simple and get my mind to going.....so a poem was born. This one is inspired by Regina, the next superstar! Oh, and go check out Regina's web sight , you can listen to her songs there. 11 Jan 2007 It's so simple, you see. To put words together, and call it poetry. I just start typing, and re typing and re typing and re typing. Eventually it begins to rhyme Given enough time. And backspace. Just think of words, and a theme. Then assemble on the ream. Tidy at the seam. Pull a few stitches, And give your finger a good prick with the needle. Bleed for the words. Pain is best. Joy isn't worth writing about. Just get a good rhyme, And give it enough time. While you are typing, don't forget to backspace. And then re type it all. So much satisfaction, from throwing paper, But it's all recycled electrons. The same ones that flow through you and me. Then it's done. What next? return HOME return to Poem Menu |
