Building the Kitchen
The project for this trip was to add a kitchen to the Community Center. Basically it was an awning, with shelves, and a place to wash dishes.

Kids playing soccer
The kids really enjoyed playing soccer this year. The Teenagers even have tournaments, but I never did figure out who organizes them. (Is it School related, or some other organization). Notice the boots marking the goal.

Blessing and kids
Blessing ran the Bible School this year. Here's a shot of her with the majority the younger students.

Kids and progress
This photo makes me smile!!

Head stands
A couple kids were doing Hand stands after church one night, so we worked with them on improving it. Here, we're working on Head stands. I don't think I've ever been upside down for so long!! We worked on Frog stands, head stands, hand stands, and cartwheels for what seemed like forever! All good fun!

Solar System
My assignment was to get the Solar System running better.
(Okay, so that's God's job, I worked on the Solar Electric System)
The old controller (the whitish box on the right) was fried. So I replaced it with the yellow and black box on the left. I'm still thinking they need more Solar Panels, though, as during the rainy season, there is not much Sun.

Handing out clothes
Here we're trying to keep order when giving out the clothes we brought down.

Red Light Green Light
Playing red light, green light.

Kitchen Done
And here is the Kitchen as we left it.

Beads!
We were given a bunch of beads for the kids to makes necklaces. There we so many beads, that the adults got in on it too. They were all very happy with this activity!

Bears
The kids showing off their bears they made. Somebody sent these bears down as a craft for Bible School. The kids whip stitched them together and filled them with beads. We had lots of beads left over, otherwise, we would have used grass or something soft.

procession
We were in Costa Rica during Holy Week, and on Good Friday when back in San Jose, there were Processions everywhere.

Well, that's the summary. Out of 782 pictures, it was VERY difficult to choose these Twenty three. I'm about out of space on Geocities here, otherwise I'd add a whole bunch more! If you want to see more, just let me know, I'd mail you a CD, or e-mail a few different ones.....
