Yeah. Got a lot of research done this weekend. Discovering that Sam Raimi directed Evil Dead when he was 19 is a bit of a confidence boost for me. Scripting WILL start this week, but i might have to concentrate on the section im doing for Film Studies first.

I've also put up some more of my fantastic drawings in the Pictures page.

Hum...not much to report other than i've got a pic of Frances. Im gonna try to start the first script tomorrow, although if the Evil Dead trilogy box-set I ordered arrives i might end up...er...doing more research.

oh yeah, this afternoon i did some character design, although they're basically looking like my friends and wearing their clothes. i'll scan em in at some point. it was sort of just for practice drawing the people i've had trouble drawing before, for when i get to the storyboarding stage. thats miles away though got to think of the script first. Bah, stop rambling.

I got my camera yesterday! thanks Mark. its a Sony PC107E if you're interested. I narrowly avoided being converted by a monk on my way from the bus stop to the Sony Centre. He had some pretty weird tactics:

MONK: Hey, nice shoes. you like walking?
ME: Er...yes?
MONK: I am actually a monk. would you like to read this? [holds out book]
ME: No thanks. [me walks off]

He had a weird accent too. The things i go through to make a film....

In other news i've spoken to Matt Evans, an old school friend who is in a band (bah. cant remember their name), and he says hes interested in doing some music for the film. So thats good.

I was unable to do anything to the site yesterday because the computers at college decided that a website construction site was free email, which is blocked eccept between 12 and 2 and after 4, and the computer at home was having a mid life crisis.

Anyway, yesterday i found a free guestbook, so i have just put it on the site. I have photos of all the cast except Frances and most of the Hordes of Evil. so i will put them up later this evening.

i should probably have already mentioned that my name is Matt Farmer, im 18 and in my second year of college, and i plan to have the first film pretty much completed by the time i go to Uni in September.

UPDATE: I've just found a much better Guestbook that GeoCities do, so i have replaced the one i had. If you left a message (although i dont think anyone did) you'll need to resubmit it. I'll still be doing the cast/character page tonight.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I've put up the photos i have of the cast, along with their character and real names, but Im not feeling creative enough/cant be arsed to type the bio type things. If i get the inspiration i might do it later tonight, but then again i might not. I will be getting the camera on sunday (what would i have done if Mark didnt work at the Sony Centre?) so i will be learning to use that and [possibly] starting the script for Film 1 over half term (thats next week for those who dont have anything to do with schools/colleges)

Just a brief blog to say that the plot outlines for films 1 and 2 have been posted and i've been given a good addy for a guestbook. I have also taken photos of most of the cast so i'll be doing that page tomorrow. Gotta add a links page too.

Hello and welcome to my first Blog! this site will be dedicated to my project to make a trilogy of horror/comedy films. Film 1 features Vampires, Film 2 Zombies and Film 3 a Werewolf. Currently i only plan to make Film 1, which will be made this summer, and one scene from Film 2 as film studies coursework, which will be made over the next month or 2.

If everything goes to plan this summer, i will try to round the cast up next year while they're back from various universities. Film 3, will not be made at all unless i become a big director and the first 2 films get a cult following. i should probably have mentioned that the cast will be made entirely of my friends. Head over to character profiles for more details (not yet though as theres nothing there) i'll make sure i keep you updated.
