This is a Droughtforce activity and is hosted by Wagga Wagga Demonstration
Gardens in conjunction with Wagga Urban Landcare. Participants are involved in
the establishment of the Wagga Wagga Community Garden in Shaw Street and also
engage in the removal of introduced (lantana and privet) weeds from the
Murrumbidgee River in Wagga Wagga. Participants are supporting the endangered
sugar glider community on the North Wagga Wagga flats. Planet Wagga is
supervised by Jim Rees and Casey Ankers. It provides an opportunity for
participants to engage in enjoyable outdoor work in a supportive and worthwhile
activity. Due to its popularity and success this activity is anticipated
to roll over into a successive stage upon completion.
