= Some Php Resources INTRODUCTION This file is an attempt to find some Internet based learning and reference materials for PHP, the web-scripting engine and system, which in some ways is similar to ASP, but is free. SOME RESOURCES http://www.php.net/docs.php The php reference manual http://www.php.net http://www.php.org http://php.resourceindex.com A seemingly very comprehensive archive of scripts, functions tutorial etc. http://www.php.net/manual/en/print/tutorial.forms.php A simple example of using HTML form values with PHP http://www.php.net/manual/en/printwn/langref.php A page telling how NOT to use the php extension for a script file http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Software_and_Servers/Installation_Kits/ A page which contains a thing called PHPTriad which installs Apache PHP and MySql on a MS Windows computer (was linked to from the php.net home page. The page also contains various other installation scripts for these servers. A very useful looking page. The 'Apache Toolbox' script looks particularly inviting but it could be Redhat specific. Also the page refers to a thing called 'InvisionBoard Forum' which appears to be another forum system. http://sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad/ This is a Perl, MySql, PHP, Apache installer for windows. It doesn't appear to have any online docs. May not be in active developement. Also includes a 'Phorum' message board installer. http://www.firepages.com.au/devindex.htm This seems to be an installation bundle for MS Windows of the above packages. It appears to be actively maintained. MISCELANEOUS http://www.firepages.com.au/devindex.htm A reasonably nice web design. A balance between slick and clean. many mentions of a thing called 'zend'
