This could have the capability for users to ask new questions about Alexis (and answer them, I suppose). A collaborative website about Alexis in which users can edit the pages, make comments, and ask questions This section would contain information for programmers and the technical evaluation departments of potential customers. This would describe the software components from which Alexis is constructed and the way in which these components interact with each other. This would deal with both the Server and Client components This is the documentation which is generated from comments in the java source code of Alexis Mailing lists for users with technical questions. This should be monitored by Nick or me or somebody else qualified to do so. This section would contain links to the RFCs and technical specifications for WebDav, XSL, XML, Servlet Containers, etc This section could contain gateways for a user to obtain instant support (except for the telephone). The easiest of these to implement would be Live Chat support where users and support staff could type questions and responses in 'real time'. Also an SMS messaging gateway would be very useful, but it may involve Ella Associates having to buy some kind of access to the system (free access to Internet to SMS messaging does exist, but it is limited, and becoming more so) Links to support email addresses and also a WebMail system, to allow users to send (and receive?) mail from their web browser Telephone numbers for customers, if these are going to be provided A detailed comparison of the features which Alexis offers with other available XML editors both free and commercial. It has been generally agreeed that this comparison should be strictly impartial. The comparison should have a textual component and also a grid chart listing editors on one axis and features on another How much the client is going to have to pay and for what A description of the capabilities and qualifications of the people who are working on Alexis, including possibly links to CVs A brief history of Ella Associates and its activities This section could contain links and information specific to lexicography and to the dictionary capabilities of Alexis This section would provide access to actually getting a copy of the Alexis Client program.
