= Some links to interesting HTML designs [] {x} INTRODUCTION This site provides links to URL which in my opinion have a good or at least interesting HTML design. My prejudices in this respect are usually oriented towards 'clean' and 'informational' designes and layouts. By this I mean designs which are not in anyway cluttered and which are oriented towards the conveying of 'information' (as opposed to some kind of multi-media experience). It also should be noted that I am a frequent user of Text-Only browsers such as 'lynx' and for this reason, I am inclined to look for sites which a 'friendly' towards this sort of browser. In selecting these sites it is also important to me the use of css style sheets in a reasonably cross-browser manner (at least to the extent that the styles will 'degrade gracefully') STUFF A nice grassy green colour, goes well on a white background color="#33CC66" An understated purple color="#9933CC" CSS INFORMATION http://www.westciv.com/style_master/academy/css_tutorial/introduction/statements.html#comments This is a fairly good CSS tutorial and reference NICE LOOKING WEBPAGES http://www.adlinguam.com/es/empr.html This is a good looking site for a translation agency. It has some nice ornate letter decoration images. HTML LINKS http://www.cornerstonemag.com The Sed FAQ, which has some quite clean style sheets http://www.sendmail.org/m4/intro.html This site (about the sendmail email server) contains some reasonable css styling, including the 'block formatting' of code fragments, and hyperlink back-ground colour changing mouse overs. http://www.ctv.es/USERS/alberfon/ A nice image of birds with a 'watermark' effect http://www.bugzilla.org/about.html A rather 'blocky' design but quite clean and bold colours. IMAGES http://www.is.informatik.uni-duisburg.de/projects/daffodil/daff.gif A nice oval picture of some daffodils http://www.weblations.com/spa/img/background.gif A nice soft-lines background image, which when tiled gives the impression of some kind of expensive notepaper.
