The doctors gave me the "all clear" to resume work and at this point.  It feels good to reengage and experience work stress again.  Managed stress is ok and as you know, I had a recent lesson on that!

Right now, I'm simply managing a somewhat constant headache with some non-narcotic pain meds.  I think I finally found something that takes it away and keeps it away without making me fuzzy.  Until the blood moves out of my brain and the pressure goes down, it's likely they will continue..but if I don't feel it...GREAT!  Best estimate is 3-6 months for that to fully evaluate the back part of my brain.  After that, I'll be doing more tests, including a full angiogram of the brain to see every pumping artery.  They actually go through your leg to inject the dye.  I can't do it now because the existing fluid will mask the underlying cause of the initial problem.  Again, they think it was a one-time deal and can manage any problems moving forward.

Things are going well this week and I think we're going to have our first social get-together at the house since this all happened.  A friend is flying in from Los Angeles who is friends with our Dallas area friends .  I REALLY miss cooking and entertaining...  Oh..and drinking wine...which I can't do right now.  Murad and I were day-by-day for a little while, but with the immediate danger out of the way, we're feeling better about making plans and resuming our social life.

Our only problem now is I don't have clearance to fly at this point due to possible pressure issues..so we cancelled our trip to Disney World for Murad's birthday.  It's October 4th and we'll try to do something special as an alternative.  We were really looking forward to the trip and it took more than 2 weeks to plan.  Did you know that you need reservations at Disney Land for EVERY sit down service meal?

Here's a thought, if anyone has a "John Madden" tour bus, that might be the best form of long-distance transportation right now.  Did you know he doesnt fly and that's why he shows up in that "beast" for Sunday Night football games around the country?  Its kinda like the trip Murad and I took to Phoenix last Christmas.  It was really fun and we went very VIP with that big rig....  I drove:)

Well, I'm heading out the door to work and just wanted to send a quick update.  Everyone reading this knows I really appreciate being in touch with all of you and I read your comments every night.  Who needs myspace???

Have a great day today....the weather is perfect in Dallas and the convertible it out in force!

Speak soon!
