A tarantula has to have peat 1/3 of the way up the tank. Tarantulas like things a little damp so they need the peat to be the dampness of a garden. Tarantulas like a place to hide as well. People sometimes put flowerpots or a rock in the tank. Whatever is put in the tank must not be able to squash the tarantula. Tarantulas hate light so they can't be put directly in the sun. A nice dark corner is the best place to put a tarantula's tank.
