Summary:Cheyanne Lee Scott moves from runs from the last 4 years of her life. She only finds her past before that and hides from that life. She doesn't let anybody know about both of her lifes. All she has are two people she calls her brother and sister. Are they really who they says they are?

One Last Breath chp1
I walked to the classroom,knocked on the door, then walked in. I was greeted with staring eyes. The teacher walked towards me "you must be ummmm..." she looked on the sheet I gave her and then looked at me wierd "Cheyanne Lee Scott". I didn't move or say anything. I looked at the room and saw an empty seat "well umm... have a seat" she said as I was already making my way to the seat "so Cheyanne would you mind telling us a little about yourself"
Everybodys eyes shifted towards me. I looked down at the desk and then up to the teacher "I'm a private person" I said with calmness,seriousness and no expressions. I just didn't want to talk at that moment
She looked at me like she didn't know what to do or say. Then she started to finish what she was doing before I walked in "ok when was treaty four?" she said as she looked around the class waiting for an answer
"1874" I answer
"yes" she said surprised "and what was it's purpose?" she waited again
"mutual obligation"
"ummmm right" she looked at me "and where?"
"South Saskatchewan"
She nodded her head slowly and then continued. I took First Nations Studies12 in my last school, and had to take it here becuase there was nothing else opened. But I don't last long in school. I'm surprised I got to grade 12. My life was not what people would think. Nobody could probably imagine the kind of life I have.
"do any of you guyz know her?"asked Kristy as she stood with a bunch of friends outside at lunch
"what was her name? Cheyanne?"said Jeff
"I think so"said Maggie
"hey what's up?"said Matt as he,Amy,Shane and Shannon walked up to them
"enjoying school?"asked Shannon
"shut up"said Maggie
"yeah just because you guyz graduated last year you don't need to rub it in"said Jeff
"hey you guyz have one year left"reminded Amy
"hey is that her?"interupted Maggie
"who?"said Shane
"this new girl. Cheyanne I think"
"CHEYANNE,COME ON" yelled someone from the car
"yeah it's Cheyanne"said Kristy
I got in the car angery. We spun off, leaving the people smoking in dust. I hated this. I could never stay a full day even if I wanted to. Well it didn't matter to me anywayz. It was second semester already, so there was no use trying to graduate.
After, we went to find Stix. It has been a long while since I have been here, but I remembered. We walked in and all eyes shifted. I don't know it was alwayz like that. Everytime I seemed to walk in a room all eyes shifted on me. Still I am not used to it. I stood there as my sister and brother walked pass me. I then followed them to a pool table. We were at the table next to people were staring so hard
"take a picture. It will last longer" said my sister Lou-Anna
"people and their staring problems"said my brother Andy
"how sick, you act like you don't have one"I said as I shot. I looked at the group and noticed some of them were in my classes. I slightly lefted my eyebrow, then turned around to take another shot
Two hours passed when we were finally on our last game. Throughout the hours I could feel the tension in the air between us and the people next to us. It seemed like they were getting defensive over their 'terf'. I guess they felt that we were taking over.They would push us if they needed to take a shot on the side where we had to share, they would purposely hit us with their pool stick, just anything. They thought it was funny but they obviously don't know us, especially me.
After the red head purposely elbowed me hard, again, I was pissed. They have been doing that for quite a while
"watch what your fuckin' doing" I said as I turned around and yelled over the music
She turned around and smiled. Then she turned around and started to laugh along with the others
"what the fuck you smiling about?. Keep laughing" and I walked to the other side to take my shot. I looked down at the cue ball and at the red head. She was leaning against their pool table with her back towards me. I smirked and then bent down to take the shot. I looked at her one last time and then shot at the ball and made it jump off the table towards the red heads back "oops" I said with no meaning.

Tuesday I got to school second block. People I didn't know where looking at me with fury. I assumed it was because of Friday night at Stix. Such a little thing they get worked up about it. Then again they were alwayz like that
"hey Cheyanne" I heard someone say when I walked out of the side doors "where do you think you're going?"
I turned around. It was the red head " I'm leaving. Is that ok with you?"
" I'm Amy and this is Kristy,Maggie,Jeff,Matt,Shannon,and Shane"
"ok and you are tellin' me... why?"
"because you need to remember this names"
"oh is that a threat" I said with a short laugh
"don't think because the way you dress ,all gangsta lookin', that we are intimated"
"oh my gawd" I said trying not laugh "i don't dress to intimate aiight. And if you think I am suppose to be afraid of you, you better think again. You don't know me but..."I stopped myself "nevermind" and I walked towards the car

One Last Breath chp2
A month went by and nothing changed. Lou-Anna,Andy and I casted ourselves away from everybody. Everytime we got close to someone, something would happen. The life we onced lived was alwayz there waiting in the shadows, but this time it was going to be different
"what is your guyz problem with us?" I said as Maggie purposely tripped and pushed Lou-Anna "cause if it's trouble you're looking for, you found it"
"I think their problem is that we are new in town and they see fresh meat"said Andy looking at Matt,Shane and Shannon
They all stepped up to Andy "we just don't like you" said Matt
"look if you are confident about what you think someone is like,good. But with us you need to know that it's best you back the fuck of or you are signing for your death"
"oooohhhh the little girl talks big"said Shane
"this little girl is capable of more things. More then you would know"
"listen to her, she thinks she's all tough. She probably thinks she could kill a man"said Jeff
I looked at him "careful what you say. You never know, it might be true"
It only took a month for romours to go around about us. Me especially. I wondered who was telling these romours. It had to be either Andy or Lou-Anna
"I heard she killed a guy when she was 16. He was trying to rape her and Lou-Anna. She grabbed a gun and shot him"said Holly
"yeah right"said Amy
"yeah we also heard that Lou-Anna,Andy and Cheyanne aren't even siblings. Not close to be related"Rachel said
"where you hearing all of this?"asked Kristy
"it's just what's going around"
"so they're are nothing but romours"said Jeff
"actually that guy was trying to kill Andy. I caught him and he tried to kill me. Nothing but self-defense" I said as I walked from the corner "and that was just not to long ago"
"well is it true that you were part of a gang?"asked Holly
I smiled and walked away. I thought it would be better for everyone just to keep talking the words of truth and false. But the words were getting to close to being true. I had a lot on my mind. I didn't want Lou-Anna and Andy to worry, but they knew there was something I was hiding. Something that had me worried.

It was good to have people back off after all that. I needed the space. I barely went to school cause the counsellors would call me down and try talk about what people were saying. How some of the students didn't feel safe, even the teachers. It started to get way out of hand. People started to make up things now. Saying that I kill every teacher that doesn't give me and A or anybody who touches me gets a beating. Basically I was a killer. I so wanted to let them know my whole life. Let them know who I was really was, what I have been through, and so on. But I couldn't, at least not tell I know it was safe for me. Which could be never. I don't like this but it was the only way. I could very much take this to my grave and nobody but a few would know who I really am. I could die as Cheyanne Lee Scott.
"Shy Girl what's wrong?"asked my bro Andy
"yeah Shy Lee"said my sister Lou-Anna as she put her arm around me and pulled me close to her
"nothing" I replied as I was zoned out on the floor
"is it because everybody is calling you a killer"
"no i take that as a compliment" I laughed
"yeah, how could little Cheyanne be a killer"said Andy
"hey don't let looks confuse you"
"but he is alwayz confused anyways"laughed Lou-Anna
I looked at them wanting to tell them but held it back
"just say it"said Andy
"why did we come here?" I asked "out of all places, why here?"
" I dunno. Somewhere nobody could find. An unlikely place to be found"
"yeah but you found it" I said looking at him
He looked at me with the 'what are you getting at' look. I shook my head and went to my room. It has only been two months and everything has been messed. I hope it will all come together soon.
"do it Dawn" he said with pressure in his voice "do it now"
She looked at him. Without second thought the trigger was pulled. The man layed motionless on the ground. She walked over to him and stood over him. She thought to herself the bastard deserved it and she looked over to everybody
"welcome to your new family"he said with his arms opened and hugged her
"welcome Dawn" said everyone else as they welcomed her into their way of life
"thanx" she said accepting the welcome not knowing much about their life
I woke up looking at the darkness. I moved on my other side and still looked at the darkness. My room was barely lit by my stereo. I layed there for awhile thinking of the dream I just had. It was short because I looked at the clock and realized I only slept for fifteen minutes. Something not good was about to happen

It got so out of hand that the cops even came to our place. They asked for ID and everything. We told them they would need a search warrant if they wanted to look around, which they did. When they came back they found nothing
"this is just get fucking hilarious" I said with a half smile and a laugh
"well i'm glad you are finding it amusing"said Andy
"I am. Hey where's Lou-Anna?"

Matt,Amy,Jeff,Shane,Shannon,Kristy and Maggie were sitting outside on the grass when I was on my way out. Don't know why I went back to clean my locker because I had nothing in there.
"hey where you going?"asked Amy
"home"
"why? don't you go to school?"
"no, they kicked me out because to many people are scared of me. They think I will kill them or something"
"sorry to hear that"she smiled "hey why don't you and me do something tonight"
"why? I asked suspiciously
"just to hang out"
"hang out?"I looked behind me to the student parking lot "DAWN, COME ON. WE NEED TO DEAL WITH SOME PEOPLE" but saw nobody. It was filled with students climbing in their cars skipping next block
"hey, you ok?"asked Amy
"yeah, fo'sho"and I looked around "ummmm... just phone me" I said as I continued to look around
"Cheyanne come on"said Andy from the car
I gave Amy my number and ran to the car "something's not right" I said as she got in the car
Matt,Shane,Shannon,Kristy,Maggie and Jeff were at Stix waiting on Amy
"Amy's a sneaky little bugger"said Shannon
"you guyz ready to pull this off"said Kristy
"hells yeah"
"Jeff?"said Matt
"how come I have to act like I am into her" he said whining
"I don't think Maggie would want Shane all over some other girl and you're her age"
"so deal with it"said Maggie "Shane's mine"
"oh shit here they come"said Kristy
I walked in and noticed it was fuller then it usually was. I was wondering if something was up. Amy and I got a pool table. We started to play but I was distarcted by the staring eyes and whispers"so what did you say was the deal between you and your friends?"
"oh they didn't like the idea of me talkin' to you and wanting to get to know you"
"really"
"yeah but I think somebody likes you" said Amy as she looked over at Jeff
I looked over and he smiled. Then Maggie pushed him and she pointed towards me. I couldn't hear what they were saying because we were close to the juxbox where music was playing. When the last song played all I heard was "whatever. You guyz are so fuckin' judgemental" and he threw the pool stick on the table. He came walking towards us
"fine goto the rejects. Join them and see if we care"said Matt
"gawd what jackasses"said Jeff as he joined us

"Shy you can't get close to anyone"
I looked at Andy and Lou-Anna. I knew they were right but for the past two weeks Amy and Jeff have been at our house. They practically moved in. I have been sleeping in Lou-Anna's room with her. Amy took my bed and Jeff slept on the floor. What really scared me was Jeff, he asked me out and I couldn't say no. I don't know why. Usually I had the strength, the power to say no and not feel sorry but this time it was different
"and now you are going out with Jeff" said Lou-Anna
"I know but.... I dunno, I couldn't say no because I would have felt bad"
"Cheyanne"
"I have been trying but they kept staying to me no matter how mean I was"
Then I heard my door open. I walked out of Andy's room to find Amy in the kitchen "good morning" she said
We were at Stix that night when something totally unexpectly caught me off guard
"Jeff is looking a bit too comfortable with Cheyanne"said Maggie she saw Jeff kissing Cheyanne and holding her
"Jeff can you let her play"said Amy
"oh my gawd it is you" I heard a voice coming towards me. I looked beside me and saw a fimiliar face "Dawn"
"hey man I like the new look"said the man
"have you talked to Snake?"
"ummm..."
"who's Dawn?"asked Jeff as he looked at me
"you're all over her"said the girl
"sorry I can't be here right now" and I walked away towards the closes doors
"Dawn"
"why the hell are you guyz here?"I said as I turned around
"you guyz ready to do this? fuck this acting to be her friend lets just get it over and done with. Do everyone a favour" I heard someone say before they turned the corner
"Dawn" she looked me in the eyes "your running has come to and end"
"we just came here to warn you and keep and eye out. Also to ask yourself"he said as he handed me one of Snakes knives"should you be trusting Andy or Lou-Anna?"
"you know this is Snake's pride and joy and we hope when the time comes you will use it"
Then they walked away. I looked down at the knife. Of course it had a snake on it but it was beautiful and sharp. I quickly put it away when I heard footsteps getting closer
"I think she went this way" I heard Amy
Then they all turned the corner. They all stood around me "figures"
"what? you act like you knew"said Shannon
"I did. I wasn't born yesterday moron" and I pushed myself through Shane and Matt

One Last Breath chp4
Amy,Kristy,and Maggie went to Stix everyday to wait for me to show up but I never did. After I told Andy and Lou-Anna what happened they didn't want me going out. But what I didn't tell them was about Snake. What Jill and Nick said got me thinking. Also hanging out with Amy and Jeff got me remembering my past long ago. The one I was taken away from and wasn't allowed to look back at
"where the fuck is she? I haven't seen her,Andy, or Lou-Anna in like two weeks"said Maggie
"and I want to know why they were calling her Dawn"said Jeff
"her real name I guess"said Matt
"hey there she is"said Kristy
"man she looks like hell"said Shannon
I sat on the first chair that I came across. Then Kristy,Amy, and Maggie were infront of. The guyz were behind them
"hey Ams can you girls try to keep it down and try not breaking everything"said one of the workers
"come on. You and me"she said pushing me
I was leaning against the wall. I looked at her "have you seen Lou-Anna?"
"don't change the fuckin' subject"said Kristy
"well don't you mean you three against me" and then I sat up straight "I'm not in the mood right now"
"Amy please don't break anything this time"said one of the workers
Then Amy punched me. I looked at her
"that will cost ya"said a manly voice "nobody touches my Dawn"
I looked up and felt my eyes widen. I quickly got up and started to run the doors but was stopped by some other people standing there. Then I felt his arms around me
"don't even think about it"
Then I broke from his grasp and turned to face him " sorry but I'm not Dawn"
"then why run?"
"because the fact that you have a gun" and I pointed to it "guess it was a reflex"
"come on Dawn. Or its Cheyanne now isn't it"
Two of his guys grabbed my arms. I looked away but he put his stroked my cheek and then gently pushed my cheek. I looked at him
"come on Dawn, it will be like old times. I miss you. I will forget that you killed my brother. I'm not even gunna ask for your reason" the he kissed me "that's how much I love you" then he pulled out his gun and put it to my neck, then down to my chest"you were the best female in the gang. You would kill a man without thinking twice. A killer" then he kissed me again "come on baby I am dying to hear you say something"
I looked at him "where's Lou-Anna?"
"Lou-Anna? she's perfectly safe" and he pointed towards Amy but Lou-Anna walked from behind her
"stupid whore" I said as I tried to go for her but was held back by the two men "I should have known"
"oh poor Dawn"
"you trust the wrong people"and she slapped me
"who said anything about me trusting you. Andy was the only one I trusted" I said as I looked her deep in her eyes "I was always onto you. Being with you guys I learned not to trust anybody. With that kind of life trust wasn't a word we worried about. It was just who was going to die next. We all had the same passion to see blood of our victims, our enemies. But you, you never had to pull a trigger in your life. You were alwayz on your back waiting for the next guy to climb ontop of you. You helped bring in the money. I was the only female in the group that had the guts to. That had the will"
"and that's why I love you too much to let you go" then he looked at at the men and nodded his "just think about it for a few days. Don't even think of leaving town. You don't want anybody to die do?" and he looked at Amy,Jeff,Matt,Shane,Shannon,Kristy and Maggie "those seven,their fate is in your hand" he started to walk away but turned around "oh if any of you say anything about this to anybody I will personally kill you myself. I have ears and eyes all over this town now"Then they all left.
I looked at Amy "if you would have left me alone" and I punched the counter. Then I put my head on the counter and took a deep breath
"so what are you going to do?"asked Shane
"yeah"said Amy
"what do you mean? Am I gunna stay and keep you guyz alive or leave and have you killed"
