Hi, my name is Matt G., I just turned 12, I live in Louisiana and I am a huge Hulk Hogan fan.   I would say that I have been a dedicated fan since 1997.   I wanted so much to be a famous wrestler just like Hulk Hogan. I began watching him in the WCW and I have followed him back to the WWE.

Out of all of his characters, my favorite is "The Hulkster", but I also enjoyed his antics as Hollywood Hogan with the nWo.   I always loved to see what type of trouble the nWo would get themselves into each week.   Then the WCW was gone and there was no more nWo.   My mom, Annie, was never a wrestling fan until one night I insisted on her watching Monday Nitro with me.   Of course even though she didn't watch wrestling before, she said she was always a fan of Hulk Hogan.   After that night I made her sit with me and watch the show, she became a dedicated fan.   Now every week we watch Smackdown together and always cheer for Hulk Hogan/Mr. America.

The picture above is me at age 7.   My mom put this costume together for me.   She painted the pants, boots and the bandanna.   She even made my WCW World Heavy Weight belt out of poster board and gold glitter.   It was the coolest costume I ever wore for halloween.

I remember a time, in WCW, when Hollywood left to have knee surgery.   My mom found his address over the internet and I sent him a get well card.   I never once mentioned to him that I wanted an autograph because I thought that wouldn't be right since this was a get well card for him.   I included the above picture in the card so that he could see what a huge fan I was.   About a month or so later my mom went to the mailbox to get the mail and there was a large brown envelope in there addressed to me.   When I opened up the envelope, inside was an autograph photo of Hollywood Hogan.   I was so excited!   So was my mom.   First thing she did was buy me a frame and that evening it went up on my bedroom wall.   I am extremely proud of that photo.

I am now getting ready to enter the 7th grade, and my favorite sports are baseball, football, and basketball.   I play football and basketball for my school and in the 7th grade I will get to play baseball too.  I don't know if I will ever become a wrestler, and even if I do I would never be as great as "The Hulkster", but you never know.

     My
greatest dream is to someday meet Hulk Hogan.   I admired him for the work he has done for children, (The Starlight Foundation), and I think his name will always be known around the world.  He is truely a wrestling Icon!
