One day I was beaten by the Russian
police.
I made a demo at the entrance of the Russian Parliament.
I decorated the gray facade of the huge Stalin building of the Lower House with
my colorful bugs. It was snowing that day. There were many people who stopped
next to me and said: "Kevin, mo-lo-dets!", which means: "Kevin,
good boy, we are on your side". But there were some people who yelled at
me, spit in my face and called me a provocateur terrorist and even a Devil They
said that bugs and warms are sent to the Earth by Devil, so I am the Devil's on.
After that secret services from the building ordered the militiamen who war
guarding the building from outside to destroy my barricades and kick me out. All
TV channels showed this in the evening news.
In 1998 I decided to go to India. In India people are very
kind to insects.
They look each time before they make a step in
order not to squash the bug. Some of them even tie their mouths up because they
don't want to kill the mosquito or a fly if it flies by mistake in their mouth.
Indians liked my ideas very much. I received about 100 letters from
Indians later when I came back to Russia. In India I spent some days in the
orphanage with the kids who lived before in the streets, in garbage cans. These
orphans became my closest friends There was also a big Cobra which lived with us
into eh orphanage. The cobra would never bight anyone because she knew that we
lobe her. I said: "look, the same happens with bugs. If we stop hating
them, they will not do us any harm Cobras, bugs, people- they become mean
because we are mean towards them".
Then I went to Oslo, Norway.
I was invited to theOslo city hall (click on the picture to find out more) and met there Margarete
Eckbo, deputy Mayor of Oslo. She said that people in Norway might like my ideas.
She said that she personally does not spray insects with poisons. Margarete
Eckbo Showed me around her office and showed me a picture of very well know
Norwegian artist. It is a big picture with huge bees. I was talking from the
stand where Nobel Prizes usually make speeches.
People in Austria will support you, - said
Ambassador Dr. Wissner,
at least some of them, of course... Dr. Wissner
invited me to his residence. He said that I can become a diplomat in the
future, because now I am trying to improve relations between humans and invertebrates
Dr. Wissner agreed with me that if you keep your houses clean then you do
not have to spray them with poisons.

And then I moved to America ...
I have been to New York and Philadelphia. I danced and sang at different
clubs and Restaurants in Manhattan, trying to convince people to stop hurting
the invertebrates.. I protested against Mayor Guiliani, who was spraying bugs
from the helicopters and got strayed himself... I have been to Washington DC
too. The day I arrived they were spraying their loans in front of the Capitol
building and the White House. Otherwise I liked it.
