To be a good bar tender or even just a casual flair artist the main factor is originality. It doesnt matter if this means spinning a bottle different or dong a stupid dance different it all changes the way somebody watches you. If you are the same as every other guy/gal then people arent really going to care if you can flair or not.

As you can see by the picture on the right, this gets yours and my attention by the fact it is clever and you dont see this sort of thing everyday

Now flairing a bottle is amazing to watch even if its done by someone who can grasp the basics. But to do it is a different matter. TIPS : You have to practise! Smirnoff Vodka bottles are by far the best or a Bells Whiskey bottle will do. You need to know how to perform the tricks, if you dont know the right way it will look shite (email me for tips). You need to get a rythm and a style of your own. This will make your originality. And dont worry about breaking a bottle, just do it on your back lawn or over your bed. Just make sure you dont smash your TV or anything of value. And lastly : Dont get to extreme until you know how the bottle falls. This could be dangerous

Now once you have grasped the basics of bottle flairing it is time to move on to bigger fish. Now you need to know who to pour properly, throw rocks and how to combine your bottle flairing with making cocktails. e.g - Getting the bottle to land in the cocktail shaker in mid air / Cutting lemons in mid air that are thrown at you.
