| Built from the 2005 AX84 standard schematic. 8-Pin Octal Power Tube 9-Pin 12AX7 Pre-amp 275-0-275 Hammond PT Chinese 5K;8 Ohm SE PT 10Watt Hohner solid state amp from EBay for around $30- used the CTS ceramic 10" speaker. Built the eyelet board from scratch Bent up the Aluminum Chassis at home. Total estimated costs ~$130. Not counting the 200 hours of labor!!! Results: I really like the snarl on this one. It sounds 'happier' when I plug it into a couple of better 10" speakers in my 18W though. I've tried a KT66, 6L6's, an EL34 and a 6V6 tube in here. The 6V6 is sweetest & probably my favorite. I can't really see much difference in volume with it. The EL34 isn't too shabby either although it really draws heater current and I fear for the PT after about 30 minutes. This thing nails that early Joe Walsh "Funk 49" sound. Everybody should have at least 1 of these! |

| P1X and Voxy Amp both started out as Hohner solid state amps. They're cheap and unloved on Ebay. | ||||||||
