I got interested in Tube Amps with hardwood cabinets after I figured out I could probably never afford any of the beauties I was seeing on EBay. I built an 18Watt Marshall TMB amp last year and had a hardwood maple cabinet made for it. I spotted an auction for a cabinet from Sultone (www.sultone.com) and then figured I may as well try and put together a Boogie as a benchmark. I bought a used DC5 on EBay and ordered up a flame maple and walnut cabinet and a pair of 10" Celestions. It's great!!! |
