Remember We Are Equal

If we took the time to look at ourselves through the eyes of those that we serve,
Perhaps we could see that we should be kinder and give them the respect they deserve.

If we think of how we want to be treated and transfer that to them,
Then perhaps we wouldn't be so likely to shout or so quick to condemn.

When others speak to us in a voice that is kind we are more willing to do the things their way,
Than if they shouted at and berated us every single day.

Perhaps when we work and speak with the resident we should remember these things,
And think of them more as our equals in the world of human beings.

With that kindness perhaps they would be more willing to treat us with kindness back,
Equals! Together we could have fun and learn that's no  much of a drawback.
