The Ballad of Andrew J
To be sung to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies)There was a young man who had a big ear,
and of broken glass he didn't have a fear.
In the middle of the night he would break and enter,
and in his finger he would never get a splinter.
Andy that is, break and enter, search and smoke.
He thinks he's rough and tough and like a guard on the door.
I saw him hit you once but it was him who hit the floor.
I turned and I looked and I got so confused,
When I figured it out I was greatly amused.
Andy that is, King, King of the Wild Wombats.
He gets angry when ignored, he wants us on patrol.
He doesn't want to hear it when we say "you're in control".
He is pleasant, he is charming only when he wants to be.
We can get in our car when we don't have a key.
Andy help us, slip the lock, get those butts!©1991
