| Le Cat quitte LaRochelle lundi le 27 avril 1665.Le Cat est un navire de Holande , jaugeant de 200 a 250 tonneaux ,qui appartient a Albert Cornelis Kadt. Pour cette travers�e il est arm� de Alexandre Petit. Le capitaine est Charles Babin . Abord du navire se trouve le corespondant g�n�ral de la Cie des Indes et 155 personnes don 67 engag�s.Apr�s une escale a Dieppe , il s'arr�te a Gasp� .Des soldats venus des Antilles , sur le Br�z� embarquent a bord enfin de ralier Qu�bec et se joindre aux troupes du R�giment de Carignan.Enfin le navire atteint Qu�bec , jeudi le 18 juin .Le navire repart vers la France le 3 ao�t 1665.C'est le marchand Rochelais Pierre Gaigneur qui a engag� devant le notaire Pierre Teuleron ces 67 hommes donc l'anc�tre Mathurin Villeneuve . Et de la suit nos origines et l'histoire de la famille Villeneuve. |
