More Mt. Herman Pictures
When hiking at Mt Herman, don't forget to pack out what you pack in.  Also there aren't any bathrooms at the parking area or on the many trails.

Many people take their dogs on the trails and most of the dogs are not on their leashes.  Horses and mountain bikers also use the network of trails.

Although we didn't, you can hike to Monument Rock (the town's namesake) from this parking area.

Double Click on a picture to view it larger.
The parking area at the corner of Nursery and Mt. Herman roads.  Now we know why the road is called Nursery Road.

Mt. Herman.
Notice the horse jumps in the foreground.  Since you can ride horses on the Mt Herman trails, these jumps are still being used.
One of the first ruin sites we saw.  It was built near a creek which is now dry.
