Curve Sketching: Logarithmic Curves
Curves with equations of the form
y = logax
where a is a positive number, are called logarithmic curves.



For all values of a, the curve intercepts the x- axis at x = 1. Also, the curve is asymptotic to the y- axis.


The above animation sketches a logarithmic curve with a ranging in value from 0.2 to 5.
