The questions on the tests are designed to be challenging. Students can use their notes and the textbook. However, it is important to realize that these quizzes will be timed. Points will be deducted when the student exceeds the time allocation.
When taking the test, the student should have a 30 minute block of time when the number of distractions will be minimal. It will be important to be efficient, proficient and organized during this time. With 30 minutes, students do not have time to look up the answers to each question. Students do have time to use the textbook or notes as reference material to verify answers.
As you take the test, be sure to jot down your answers. If the Internet connection is lost or your computer malfunctions - then you will need to email the answers to the questions that you have answered BEFORE the test is reset. The test can be reset whenever problems occur that are beyond the students control. However, students should not expect the test to be reset if the problems are perpetual.
When taking the tests, it is best if the student does not use the computer for anything else - that is, don't go to another web page or check your email. Avoid using the BACK button. Various issues can cause the test program to 'lock down' and the test will have to be reset before the test can be attempted.
After taking the test, the answers will not be immediately available. The score will be given, but the questions missed will not be available. After everyone has taken the test, the settings will be changed and students will be able to view the questions and their answers.
